Are you excited for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year?

We asked Edinburgh residents if they were excited about this year's Fringe, just weeks away in August.

00:00Dreading it and excited. It's bartender so it should be fun but we'll be busy.

00:06Busy, busy. And is it the same every year?

00:08Same every year. It's been quiet for the last couple of years but I feel it's picking up a bit now after Covid.

00:13I'm not really interested in the found.

00:15You're not going to shows?

00:16No, no. I mean I've been to a couple but nothing great. Nothing that excites me there.

00:22So you wouldn't miss it?

00:23No, not in the least.

00:24Aye, we're looking forward to it. We're a bit out of the way. We're down in Newhaven.

00:29It doesn't really affect our daily commute.

00:31We usually have a few fringe days out and it's good fun.

00:35The town can be a bit crazy but like I say we're pretty out of the way so it's all good.

00:40It's nice to see the town busy I think. You get to hear a lot of people complaining about it.

00:44But it's a good thing I'd say generally.

00:47It's just a month ago.

00:48Yeah, yeah totally.

00:49I'm dreading it.

00:50Why's that?

00:51It's just so busy, you know. I don't go anywhere during the day.

00:59I just find restaurants, pubs.
