00:00We've always felt on this show for months.
00:08I mean, since the jump, to be honest with you, Carver High and I have been on the Orioles
00:13to win that East.
00:15This is not some kind of revelation to us that they passed the vaunted Yankees.
00:21What is amazing to us is how badly the Yankees have fallen on hard times, losing 17 of 23.
00:29That's crazy to me.
00:30I never thought I'd see that.
00:31But I always thought the Orioles were younger, better, faster, better arms, frankly, better
00:40defense.
00:42Everything about that team, I like to win the East.
00:44I never once thought it was the Yankees division this year.
00:48We didn't either in Baltimore.
00:49If you've actually watched this team and seen the growth, like I could make a case that
00:53Gunnar Henderson is the best baseball player, period.
00:55Look at the numbers across the board, what he's doing.
00:57He's got the highest war in the league.
00:59And now you're looking at this team.
01:01You had a Corbin Burns.
01:03Everything looks great.
01:04So, yeah, it's not a surprise.
01:05And the thing I would tell people is go look at the record against the ALEs.
01:09They're destroying ALEs team.
01:11So there's no fear when it comes to that, whether it's up in New York, Boston or down
01:15here in Camden.
01:16You know, what's amazing is not only that they kill everyone in the division, but they're
01:23actually better on the road than they've been at Camden by like a game.
01:29I think they're 12 games over 500 on the road and 11 at home.
01:33I actually bet on Jamison Shotz of Tyone last night and a big fat buck 78.
01:40I took him because he's been pitching really well, even though that team stinks.
01:45I took him last night.
01:46But now I'll go back to reality with the Orioles, the rest of this series.
01:50Because you look at it, they've been better on the road.
01:54Yeah, it's kind of crazy when you look at some of those anomalies, because in years
01:58past, they've always been a great home team and struggled on the road, especially out
02:02west.
02:03And then they're coming back from a West Coast trip.
02:04And granted, it's Oakland and Seattle, but it's still a West Coast trip that they came
02:09back with a winning record in 4-2.
02:10So you keep stacking those series wins, and I think they're going to pull away from the
02:14Yankees.
02:15I don't see that being much of a problem.
02:16But yeah, this team's incredible.
02:17And you talked about the series coming up.
02:19I mean, you get Shota tonight going up against Corbin Burns.
02:23And I don't know if you saw the stat earlier, you might appreciate this.
02:26The Orioles have hit more home runs off of lefties throwing four-seam fastballs than
02:30any other team in baseball at 19.
02:32And Shota's going to throw that four-seam fastball quite a bit tonight.
02:36It's hot and the wind's blowing out.
02:38Could be a good night for runs.
02:39Listen, I can't believe the Brewers gave them Burns.
02:47It's crazy.
02:48It's a win-win for both of them, though, I think, because they got Joey Ortiz, who
02:51was running for Rookie of the Year.
02:53Joey really didn't have a spot here in Baltimore because this farm system is just, it's absolutely
02:58ridiculous.
02:59If you go look at what the Triple A team's been doing, and everybody keeps saying, well,
03:02that guy's untouchable, that guy's an untouchable.
03:04They all can't be untouchable.
03:06But Joey Ortiz, it was a good swap.
03:08They weren't going to pay Corbin Burns.
03:10And the cool thing with the Orioles, if they don't resign Corbin Burns, they get a first-round
03:13pickback.
03:15They've been doing great as far as accumulating picks, hitting on those picks.
03:19And of course, as you look at it, the team's been great on the field.
03:22They've been developing these guys.
