00:01Everyone loves living in L.A. for the outdoor space.

00:04There's the fire pit with some strange balls in there.

00:07Yeah, this is the meadow.

00:09The kids definitely make s'mores on the fire.

00:11That's what it's gonna look like

00:13when we eventually get the chickens.

00:14♪♪

00:25So, we are outside,

00:27and we're in the back of the house.

00:29I'm on the bluff at the ocean,

00:30and this is all original to the house.

00:33It's freezing in Malibu at nighttime,

00:35so to have a fire pit out here is really nice.

00:39The kids definitely make s'mores on the fire, for sure,

00:42and this is the best place to either have coffee

00:45in the morning or a drink at night.

00:47This tree, it's a yucca tree,

00:49and I just think it's so sculptural and gorgeous.

00:52And so, when we chose the color for the sofas,

00:54that was really our inspiration.

00:56One of my biggest struggles as a mother

00:58is, like, getting the kids away from the TV

01:00and away from the iPads, right?

01:02So, sometimes, I just banish them to those chairs,

01:05and I make them sit there and watch the ocean

01:09and tell me what you see.

01:10♪♪

01:15So, we're at the pool right now,

01:17and in California, we really keep shallow pools

01:19because we have to be conscious,

01:21and the pool is the perfect place to hang out

01:23in this California heat,

01:24even though it's not that hot today.

01:26Typically, this house is not very peaceful.

01:29When you have a beach house,

01:30a lot of people want to come and visit.

01:32And so, this place, we always have the music blasting,

01:35and there's always so many kids

01:37running around and playing in the pool.

01:40My husband usually stays behind that bar

01:42and makes pina coladas and margaritas for everyone.

01:45It's a really fun space.

01:47♪♪

01:50Well, this is the backyard.

01:52This is the pool, not much of a backyard,

01:54but I actually use this pool very often,

01:56whether it's for recovery or for entertainment.

01:59And I like how it's set up.

02:00You know, it's courtyard style,

02:02and I feel like every section

02:04is kind of facing towards the pool.

02:05So, you know, we have a good time out here.

02:07Our projector screen, it comes down

02:09right over that box over there,

02:10and you can watch it from the pool.

02:12You can watch it from the hot tub.

02:13You can even see it from inside the house.

02:15So, you know, it takes up the whole backyard.

02:17Once it gets dark, it lights up pretty well.

02:25So, right now, we're on our patio,

02:28the pool, dining, our lovely seating area.

02:32We wanted it to be large enough

02:34so we could have a ton of people out here

02:36because that's our plan is to have friends

02:38and everybody just come and visit.

02:40We have this lovely fire pit, hot tub,

02:42and we love the little tanning shelf over there

02:45so you can sit in the water in the heat

02:47and also get some sun.

02:49What's cool is this is the golf course.

02:51So when I drive by here, you know, I text Anna,

02:55and I say, hey, we're coming by.

02:57And she says, okay, and that's it.

03:01I love the whole house,

03:02but if I have to pick two favorite,

03:03one is the bunk bedroom, which I can show you later,

03:06and the other is this little cool putting green over here.

03:08So come on.

03:09It's not a big putting green.

03:11It's a small one, but that's okay.

03:12You can still work on, like, a 15, 20-foot putt.

03:18Done.

03:19We are in the backyard.

03:21When we throw parties, we just open these doors.

03:24People spill out to this area.

03:26We have a couple of pieces out here that I've named.

03:30I like to name a few statues.

03:34This is Joe Jonas, and that's Peter.

03:36Peter's from our last house.

03:38He was the first thing that we bought in our last house

03:42in a big, empty living room,

03:45and now we've put him out to pasture.

03:47Now we've put him out to pasture.

03:49Yeah, but we like that he's out here.

03:57So this is a piece that Mandy commissioned.

04:04This is our pool.

04:05We're hosting weekly toddler swim classes here right now,

04:09so you're seeing a few remnants of pool toys,

04:13and these umbrellas are beautiful.

04:15They remind us of being at Lake Cuomo in Italy

04:19at the Passalacqua Hotel.

04:20Oh, wow.

04:22That's right? Like, doesn't it feel like we're there?

04:23Yeah, feels like it there.

04:24Feels like you're there.

04:25I love being in the pool.

04:27Justin, not so much, so he usually sits in the shade

04:30or perches here and has a drink,

04:32and then I will be in the pool.

04:35We have had a few pool parties,

04:36and look forward to hosting kid pool parties

04:39as they get older. Yeah, for sure.

04:40I've always wanted chickens,

04:42so Justin got this chicken coop

04:44when we first bought this house,

04:46and we still don't have chickens.

04:48That's what it's gonna look like

04:50when we eventually get the chickens,

04:52and the chicken's name is Victoria Beckham,

04:54and we're gonna get four more,

04:55and I'm sure you can guess

04:57what the other four names are gonna be.

04:59So, Spice Girls, okay.

05:03So, the cottage is on a private estate

05:05that has belonged to a family for hundreds of years,

05:07and the gardens down at the bottom

05:09are designed by Capability Brown,

05:11who was an extraordinary garden designer,

05:13and they let me roam around

05:14their beautifully manicured park land.

05:16But this property that belongs to me

05:18is about 1 1⁄2 acres,

05:19and it's the only freehold cottage on the estate,

05:22but there's a gamekeeper up the road,

05:24and there's somebody else

05:25who works on the estate down there,

05:26so it feels very, very isolated,

05:28but it's nice to know that there are people nearby.

05:30Yeah, this is the meadow.

05:32♪♪

05:37Of course, everyone loves living in L.A.

05:40for the outdoor space,

05:41and this house does not disappoint.

05:44I got these wooden beams made

05:47to follow the curvature of the iron

05:51that was already here.

05:52Eventually, I'm hoping that my vines

05:56will grow in and cover all of this,

05:58but it's just really taking its time.

06:01This is, like, the side door.

06:02I just love how the ivy's growing up it.

06:05The ivy over this house is one of my favorite things ever,

06:09because when do you get a brick house in L.A.

06:12that's covered in ivy?

06:13It's very rare.

06:15The maintenance of this house is, it's a lot.

06:17It's definitely a lot.

06:19We have our pool, very necessary in L.A.

06:23One of my friends found this chair at a vintage store.

06:26I'm obsessed, especially because it plays

06:29into the murals I had painted outside.

06:32So when I moved in, this was just a white wall,

06:34and I was like, that seems like such a wasted opportunity

06:38for something really cool to happen.

06:40So I found this artist, Carly Kuhn,

06:42who does the coolest single-line portraits,

06:47and I'm just obsessed.

06:48It brings so much life to the place.

06:50She also did these.

06:51We call them the levers.

07:00Welcome to what I like to call my little piece of heaven.

07:04What I love the most about this garden

07:06is that it's full of flowers.

07:08I love flowers.

07:10My garden is amazing.

07:11He and I have sat here for hours

07:13deciding what we want, how we want it.

07:15I'm just so proud of us.

07:17Look how far we've come.

07:19This is the traditional color of the flooring.

07:22We just kind of kept it the same.

07:23It's a little scruffy, because it's London.

07:25We live in a city, so this is the truth.

07:27But I want to show you something really cute.

07:29Look at these little foot marks.

07:30Back in the day, when they first laid this down,

07:32a little naughty fox came and stood on the cement

07:35and left it like that.

07:37Bit of character for you.

07:38There's another fireplace there.

07:40This is a big traditional sundial,

07:42and we actually have the original sundial

07:44at the back of the garden.

07:45This is where I sort of sit, have a tea,

07:49and then I sort of look at this big tree that I have,

07:52the weeping willow.

07:54Let me take you through the pond.

07:58I got these from Portobello Market,

08:00which is where I grew up in West London.

08:02Shout out West London.

08:04Here we have a beautiful passageway.

08:07Welcome to my green piece of secret heaven.

08:12Here is where we really just hang out.

08:15We put a carpet down here or a little blanket or something,

08:18and I just have the best time sitting here

08:20and just smelling the flowers.

08:21That's basically what we do.
