00:03I think for me it's like gender fluidity was kind of just being like free to kind of explore yourself
00:14um and however you felt so I guess in terms of this character it was kind of about navigating life
00:19and figuring out the parts of themselves that they felt confident in um and that really is
00:25a journey that goes on this film I don't know necessarily if that's how do you feel that about
00:30Luke uh I mean I definitely considered like you know his what it must be like to be him
00:36and have those limitations you know I think he's the idea is that he is in the most macho you know
00:42macho uh alpha male sort of community that exists and so for him to be anything other than
00:49a hundred percent bona fide straight would be the biggest issue on the planet
00:54in within his world you know and amongst his family and amongst his friends but
00:58um so yeah you know considered that and I'm from quite a small town community myself so
01:03I imagine if I you know had come out at gay come out as gay at school I would have been you know
01:08dealt with the bullying and all that that maybe you were subjected to Jason
01:14yeah um you're joking you was in love with me oh yeah I was I was
01:20um but they didn't want us to become too familiar I suppose like we are now you know um and so
01:26they made the very our very first scene together the um love making scene and um so it was kind of
01:33you know go straight in there and deal with the nerves about working together and um all the kind
01:39of chemistry that we seem to naturally have um and then we develop that over the course of the
01:43film so that when we do actually become more familiar with each other that felt authentic
01:47as well it was quite frightening sometime I was like yeah I can do this and then I was like to the
01:53day of the love like our first day together and I was like oh my god we're gonna do this scene
01:58and it's the first time like me and Ben are actually working together and I've been together
02:02it's been like this like whole game of like keeping these two people apart and I was like
02:09am I gonna be any good like is this gonna be vibes or is it not like have we lost that but
02:14actually we had such a fun time didn't we it was just it was just so great that afterwards it was
02:19just then then we could actually like relax into everything but I think it meant that all of that
02:26like nervous energy that we had just really went into the scene and I think it shows about really
02:33reflects because that's such a poignant moment in the film oh go and have a good time you know
02:38it's a great film I'm not just biased because we're in it like you know look at us we're a
02:43power couple power duo we're a power duo and you know if you love us you're gonna love the film
02:52um yeah it's yeah exactly yeah what Jason said what Jason said but yeah it's you know it's it's
02:59a really uplifting movie I think um and it's a great it's a great time so just yeah like go
03:04and enjoy it you learn but it's like fun learning isn't it you learn but it's fun yes I see what
03:10you're saying it deals with some serious themes and issues but it's you know in a very fun and
03:16positive way yeah and hopeful way yeah
