Grote believes the Bears will reach the playoffs in 2024 season

After a 7-10 campaign in 2023, the Bears have big expectations for this upcoming season.

00:00I think the Bears are a playoff team. I think I actually backed myself into that

00:05corner because when going through the schedule I did find the Bears having 11

00:10wins this year. Now it assumes that a lot of the things that look right for

00:16the Bears will go right for the Bears and I know it sounds crazy but they're

00:23not necessarily depending on Caleb Williams to all of a sudden be a

00:27superstar in the first few games of this year. They are depending on DJ Moore and

00:33Keenan Allen and Roma Dunzey to make life easier for the rookie quarterback.

00:40They are expecting DeAndre Swift to be a friend of the quarterback. They are

00:45expecting the defense this year to maybe... I still stand by this Molly, I still

00:51stand by the Bears defense until further notice, until I see differently, is good

00:56not great. Now if they do take that next step, which is going to require probably

01:03some of the young defensive line players like Zach Pickens

01:09to step up this year and show something more than he showed last year, but I

01:14really think it's important that the defense... it doesn't have to even be

01:17great, but somewhere between good and great for the defense. Just some sort of

01:22improvement again in the name of making life easy early on for Caleb Williams.
