UK political parties kick campaign into high gear amid final days

Rishi Sunak has covered thousands of miles in the past few weeks, but he hasn’t outrun the expectation that his time as Britain’s prime minister is in its final hours.

00:10Although the Labor Party is poised to win at Thursday's ballot box, party leader Keir

00:15Starmer urged supporters in Hucknall to not be complacent.

00:26have to work our way through until 10 o'clock on Thursday evening, making the case that

00:33if you want change, you have to vote for it.

00:36On the campaign trail in Oxfordshire, the Prime Minister since 2022 and Conservative

00:42Party leader Rishi Sunak reiterated that the race is not over.

00:49Secondary care, because obviously we want to make sure everyone can vote, because this

00:52is an important election and in spite of what some people want others to believe that

00:56it's all a foregone conclusion, every vote matters.

00:59Millions of Britons will head to the ballot box this week, electing 650 lawmakers and

01:07Conservatives are widely expected to lose to the main opposition party, the centre-left

01:12Labor, after 14 years of power.

01:14But the race is not over.

01:16Key battleground districts include the Red Wall, an industrial area in central and northern

01:22England historically held by Labor, but won by the Conservatives five years ago.
