00:00The Philippines and China joined hands to ease tensions in the West Philippine Sea.
00:06While the United States and Japan strengthened their alliance in the Philippines.

00:14The incidents in the West Philippine Sea were directly discussed
00:17in the bilateral consultation mechanism or BCM of the Philippines and China.
00:23The Philippines joined hands with Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Theresa Lazaro.
00:28The Philippines gave the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister of China
00:32that the Philippines will not stop in protecting its interests and sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea.
00:42Following the incidents in the West Philippine Sea,
00:45the other parties agreed that trust and a condition of cooperation should be restored for a productive dialogue.
00:54The two countries also agreed to ease tensions and continue the talks.
01:04A possible forum was also discussed in the Marine Scientific and Technological Cooperation
01:10and the extension of the 10th BCM in China.
01:15Some lawmakers, such as Senator Tolentino, supported the talks between China and the Philippines.

02:54Aside from America, the more solid alliance of the Philippines and Japan is also being shaken.
03:00Japan is supporting their version of the VFA, the Reciprocal Access Agreement, or RAA,
03:07between the Philippines and Japan.
03:09According to their officials who visited the Philippines,
03:12the Philippines is hoping to approve the 2 plus 2 meeting on July 8
03:18of the Defense and Foreign Secretaries of the Philippines and the Defense and Foreign Ministers of Japan.
03:25Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro said something about the RAA between Japan and the Philippines.
