00:00Namaskar, I am Nagabharanam. In 2003, one of my films, Chigurida Kanasu, was released.

00:11That is, 2nd October 2003, my film Chigurida Kanasu was released, for which I had worked

00:22from 2000, obtaining the rights from the Janapeet Award winning writer. Not only a writer, he

00:33was a doyen in Kannada literature, and more than that, he was also a filmmaker, and he

00:38was heading a lot of film committees, as chairman, Dr. Sivaramakaran. I based on that novel,

00:49I took the rights of that novel from the right holder, after Dr. Sivaramakaran, Srimati Malini

00:56Madhiyan, and finally, I got a fantastic producer, especially Dr. Rajkumar's family, for which

01:06I did this film. Srimati Parvatamma Rajkumar was the producer, and her son, Sivarajkumar

01:14was in the making. Somewhere in 2004, the fag end of 2004, I was getting a feedback

01:22from Mumbai, that there is some film called Swadesh, on 17-12-2004, when the film got

01:30released, I was shocked to see Swadesh, almost, in a way, a replica of my film, which I had

01:38shot in 2002, released in 2003. I immediately tried to contact him, but there was no response

01:46from Ashutoshji and the producer, who himself was the producer. My producer, when I asked,

01:52they said, okay, don't go for legal actions, because it is also a film like mine, so let

01:57them enjoy that. That is the generosity of South Indian filmmakers. I just kept quiet.

02:20remake of my film. You can compare with that. And when I showed my film to them, they were

02:37type of controversial filmmakers. And you know the result. And page three got the best

02:42film. But today, after seeing all the details of Mahanjodaro, that, this, and everything,
