WATCH: Thousands of people have taken part in Cancer Research UK's annual Race for Life in Portsmouth. Our reporter, Sophie, went down on the day and spoke to some people taking part.
02:15And what are we doing on South Sea today? We are here for the Race for Life to run for
02:19Foreva, this is Craig's wife and we're here to raise loads of money and just yeah for a great cause.
02:26And have you done it before? No. So it's a first. How are we feeling? Overdressed.
02:34I bet you've had some funny looks haven't you?
02:37And how are you feeling? Because it's 5k isn't it? Are you going to be running or are you going to be walking? Flying. Flying, that's what we like to hear.
02:53Perfect, good morning Claire. Morning. How are you feeling today? I'm really nervous but excited.
03:01I want to do such a worthy cause and it's so close to my heart.
03:10Cancer has affected me or my family quite a lot so I try and do as much as I can to raise
03:17research purposes. And are you running in memory of anyone?
03:23Yeah, my husband. I lost my husband to cancer in 2016. But six months before that I'd lost my dad
03:31to cancer as well. So it's really close to your heart. Really like something that's close to home.
03:37And so you're doing the 10k. How are we feeling? A bit nervous but I'm determined to do it.
03:47I just want to get around and just enjoy the atmosphere as well. It's such a great atmosphere.
03:53Everyone's here for the same reason. So I just want to get involved in everything and just get around and hopefully have a good time.
04:17So
04:37Lovely, we are getting everybody around. Oh we can see our fans. Everybody hold your
04:41signs nice and high for us. Lovely, good job.
