00:00It's crazy to think that this is less than half of the snow that's going to fall just

00:12Oh my goodness.

00:13Good morning guys.

00:21The snow outside is coming down at an unbelievable rate and the forecast is saying that it's

00:26going to snow 40 inches today and 40 more inches tomorrow.

00:31That to me sounds completely unbelievable, but I guess we'll see.

00:46Oh, I can hear the snow blower.

01:13He's the most important guy on the mountain.

01:16His job is to make the edges of the snow bank along the roads and parking lots even

01:21and straight so that the insane amounts of snow we receive every year here, we can actually

01:25continue having a place to put the snow.

01:28It's an amazing machine and there's not many of them in California, so they are put to

01:33good use.

01:34The plan for today is to break out those backcountry bindings, take advantage of the fact that

01:41I'm the only person on the mountain and enjoy this insane powder day before the 60 inches

01:47of snow comes down tonight.

01:59We're really starting to get buried now.

02:26This is where it gets real.

03:27At the top of this hill, I'll be able to ski down through the powder and enter one of the

03:46most beautiful sequoia groves anywhere in the state.

03:50And this time of year with these conditions, it's going to be just me.

03:55I can't wait.
