00:45And the second part is, is it better to pray silently or out loud because we know that

01:01Dreams are affected by what you see during the day and by other components, I imagine.

01:07I can't say yes or no.

01:09I do know the devil affects the mind.

01:11He tries to play on the mind, and the mind cannot be separated from dreams.

01:18So we have to be sure that during the day, our mind is resting in the right place.

01:24I have dreamt about things that I saw earlier in the day.

01:27That event affected my dream or popped up in my dream.

01:29It really has.

01:30I have dreamt about things I was thinking about, and then I dreamt about it.

01:34I'm not saying I can control my dreams, I'm simply saying how what we allow into our minds

01:39can have an effect on what pops up in the dream world.

01:42So I can't say the devil can directly tell you what to dream or determine your dreams

01:46or implant dreams into your head.

01:48But association with him can certainly affect the quality of the dreams.

01:53So what I suggest to people is this.

01:56Fill your minds with that which is righteous all day.

02:01And the last thing at night on your mind should be Christ.

02:06Our high calling, I believe, is page 116, L.Y. writes, your last thought at night, your

02:11first thought in the morning should be of him of whom is centered your hope of eternal

02:15life.

02:16So go to bed with Christ on the mind, and with this verse, 1 John 3, 8, for this purpose

02:22the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.

02:25Father, whatever Satan is trying to do now, destroy it, destroy it.

02:28Go to sleep with God as the last thing on your mind, because the fact that you're sleeping

02:33doesn't mean the devil is sleeping.

02:35As for praying, as far as possible, pray quietly, as far as possible.

02:42So the devil doesn't know what you're praying for or praying about.

02:44One of the reasons why I preach the way I preach, I don't want the devil to know what

02:47I'm going to say.

02:48So he can't go to someone's house and keep that person from coming, because he knows

02:52I'm talking about the second coming.

02:54Otherwise, the devil looks over the shoulder of the preacher to see what he's preparing,

02:57and then goes and keeps someone from coming, he writes that.

03:00So I do everything up here so he cannot see.

03:03Now he may guess when he sees what chapters I'm looking at, but he cannot see exactly

03:08what I'm about to talk about, so he doesn't really know whom to keep away from the sermon.

03:13And so pray quietly is my recommendation, but there's a time to pray out loud.

03:18Sometimes I do pray out loud so he can hear me, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, he can hear me.

03:24When Jesus rebuked him, he didn't rebuke him quietly, he rebuked him out loud.

03:27So there's a time to pray out loud, but most of the time I would pray silently so the devil

03:31does not know what you're saying or what you're asking for, whatever, he doesn't know.

03:36He doesn't know everything.

03:37He can read your face, but he doesn't know everything, but so can your parents.

03:42So he doesn't know everything.
