A man stayed in the cheapest hotel in the UK for £16-a-night - and said he'd go again.  George Redfern, 21, spent the night in Coco Beach Hotel, in Blackpool, on June 14, 2024.  The hotel has a two star rating on Booking.com and for £16.20-a-night it is the cheapest hotel in the UK.  George says the accommodation wasn't as bad as he expected and he had a pleasant night.

00:03I'm staying at this hotel in Blackpool for £16 a night, that is £8 per person, crazy.

00:10I am staying at the Cocoa Beach Hotel.

00:18Just checked in, let's have a look at the room.

00:21So starting off, we've got a nice double bed with two towels,

00:27with soap and some hair and body wash.

00:31We have this railing.

00:33As we can see, the door's not in the best condition.

00:38Looks like it's been smashed through here.

00:41Hot drink facilities.

00:43We've got some milk, coffee, sugar, two mugs.

00:50We've got a lamp.

00:54There we've got a sink, literally right next to the bed.

00:59So is that good? I guess so.

01:11So you see there's some marks here, a few little marks.

01:15Mattress is a bit old and springy.

01:34Just noticed more blood on the curtains.

01:41Yeah, you can literally just pick the floor up, the carpet.

01:44As you can see, I'm in the bathroom.

01:55It's a bit, it's not the best shower.

02:04I haven't had the best sleep, but it's more the people who are sleeping here were too loud.

02:10I've just noticed that suspected blood all up the wall.

02:16That is disgusting.

02:18Let it run now for about three minutes and it's not getting any warmer.

02:24My shower was a big fail.

02:26So now I'm going to my prison corner and give myself a little wash.

02:31Well, I was going to use this cup, but it's dirty.
