00:53Vice President Sara Duterte announces this Tuesday, June 25, adding her youngest brother,

00:58Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte, is being prodded to seek the presidency in 2028.

01:04She also hints at her possible return as Davao Mayor.

01:08She recently resigned as Education Secretary and Vice Chairperson of the National Task

01:13Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict last June 19.

01:17She says there has been no discussion of her resigning as Vice President.

01:21She says she is focusing on ensuring a smooth transition in the Education Department and

01:26has not seriously considered becoming an opposition leader yet.

01:30She adds she thinks she is still friends with President Bongbong Marcos.

01:36The Office of the Ombudsman upholds the preventive suspension of Bambantarlak Mayor Alice Guo

01:41and two other officials.

01:43In an order dated June 18, made public only on Tuesday, June 25, Ombudsman Samuel Martirez

01:49junks the motion for reconsideration filed by Guo, Bamban Business Permit and Licensing

01:54Officer Edwin Ocampo, and Bamban Municipal Legal Officer Adin Siguia.

01:59A preventive suspension is not a penalty but a, quote,

02:02"...preventive measure to ensure that the accused will not use their position to influence

02:06witnesses or tamper with records."

02:09Meantime, Guo and 17 others are now under the Bureau of Immigration's lookout bulletin.

02:15An immigration lookout monitors a subject's attempt to leave the country.

02:19It is not a sufficient prohibition for departure from the Philippines.

02:23Guo and 13 others currently face a Qualified Trafficking Complaint over alleged ties to

02:28the raided Pogo in Tarlac.

02:31Seamen First Class Underwater Operator Jeffrey Facundo tells Senate on Tuesday, June 25,

02:37the Chinese Coast Guard blocked and harassed Philippine ships as they were trying to get

02:41him medical aid.

02:42Facundo lost his right thumb on June 17 when the CCG rammed the Philippine Navy's rigid

02:48hull inflatable boat at high speed, and his thumb was hit by the bow of a Chinese vessel.

03:42Romualdez says he told Huang that the deteriorated relationship, quote, doesn't look good that

03:47it all happened under his watch.

03:49Huang kicked off his tour of duty in 2019, the Duterte administration's final three years,

03:55coming in at the height of the former president's pivot to China.

03:58When Marcos took over, he personally summoned Huang in February 2023 after the China Coast

04:03Guard pointed a military-grade laser light at the Philippine Coast Guard.

04:09China's Chang'e lunar probe returns on Tuesday, June 25, and touches down on the northern

04:14Chinese region of Inner Mongolia.

04:16This makes the country the first to bring back samples from the moon's far side.

04:21The probe landed and collected soil from the moon's south pole at Kin Basin, an impact

04:25crater on the side of the moon that always faces away from Earth.

04:29Chinese President Xi Jinping calls it a landmark achievement.

04:32The Chang'e 6 probe was launched on May 3 on a Long March 5 rocket from the Wenchang

04:37Satellite Launch Center on the southern island of Hainan.

04:40The probe had intended to collect two kilograms of samples, which will be closely analyzed

04:45by Chinese and foreign scientists who believe these will reveal new details about the formation

04:49of the Earth, moon, and solar system.

04:52The 2020 Chang'e 5 mission brought back samples from the near side of the moon.
