00:07Here are the government's reactions to Bernadette Reyes' statement.

00:11The price of galunggong has doubled in the Magsaysay Fish Market in Dagupan City.

00:19From Php 100 to Php 120 last week, it is now Php 180 to Php 200 per kilo.

00:26The delivered supply is half. From Php 500 to Php 200.

00:32The supply is limited because galunggong comes from Manila.

00:36In the monitoring of the Department of Agriculture,

00:39the price of galunggong per kilo in Metro Manila is now Php 160 to Php 260,

00:45from Php 180 to Php 200 last week.

00:49But according to the Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura o SINAG,

00:52it should not exceed Php 200 because galunggong and other fish have their own supply.

01:00It should be Php 200. If the price is not enough, it should be Php 200.

01:06The price of other fish per kilo in Dagupan also increased from Php 10 to Php 20.

01:12There was also a slight increase in the price of fish that is Php 120 to Php 150 per kilo.

01:18The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources is also getting additional information

01:23on the price increase in Dagupan.

01:25But according to BIFAR, the rains have an effect on the supply of fish.

01:29Because we are still in the area, we have not been able to reach the close fishing zone.

01:34So the fishing of our fishermen will continue, except if the weather is bad.

01:40To ensure the sufficient supply of fish,

01:43the Department of Agriculture has strengthened the aquaculture industry in the country,

01:48where fish such as mackerel and tilapia originate.

01:55so that the fish in the sea can reproduce, which was destroyed by illegal fishing.
