00:00Hi, I'm Jennifer Schaefer. My background is a General Practitioner, but I'm here today as the Medical Director of Doctors' Health in Queensland at the Rural Doctors' Queensland Conference.
00:10It's a pleasure to be here today on behalf of Doctors' Health in Queensland, which is the peak advocacy body for medical students and doctors in Queensland.
00:18We do many things. We provide advice, education, advocacy, but we're best known for our support line where we provide peer support to the doctors and medical students of Queensland.
00:29Our organisation has been providing this for more than 40 years. It is completely free of charge, it is totally confidential, and it's supported by well-trained volunteer GPs.
00:40We believe that this is so important because the health and wellbeing of our healthcare workforce is important for the health and wellbeing of our patients and our communities.
