00:01Discipline in the real sense means challenging your own patterns.

00:05Related to the word disciple.

00:06Who is a disciple?

00:07Someone who follows.

00:09Who is to be followed?

00:10Someone who is worthy of being followed, you know.

00:13The truth is to be followed.

00:14Freedom is to be followed.

00:15Discipline is not about obedience.

00:18Discipline is not about obeying commandments from outside.

00:21Discipline and love go together.

00:23And only love can induce discipline in you.

00:28Obedience can come from fear.

00:30Disobedience can come from a sense of reprisal or indifference or whatever.

00:39Lack of fear, lack of incentive, lack of greed, all that can lead to disobedience.

00:45But discipline, ah, that's a beautiful word.
