00:00I said, listen, if I buy my plane ticket and fly out there myself to grab her, will you hold it?

00:09They're like, I will hold her until 3.30 the next day. And I'm like, done.

00:16I had found someone who wanted to adopt her. So I'm like, this is perfect.

00:23I landed around 12. I am on my way. I thought I'd have plenty of time and

00:29traffic was ridiculous. People always talk about how crazy traffic is in LA.

00:37We're starting to cut it tight. I was stressing out sitting in traffic. I was ready to go drive

00:43on the shoulder. I've been calling the shelter nonstop, just making sure everything's okay,

00:47making a pinot that I am coming. So I'm hoping that I make it in time.

00:54I was driving very fast and I was very afraid that I wasn't going to get there in time.

00:59Pearl, Pearl, listen to me, listen. 3.25 was the freedom walk,

01:04literally five minutes before they were going to put her down.

01:08What a beauty, what a beauty she is. Seeing how sweet she was, it made me tear up.

01:15She was all bones. I wanted to make her first day of freedom very special. So I'm like,

01:19she's getting the best. Pearl's first experience with In-N-Out Burger. Ready, Pearl?

01:26Oh, did you like that? You want some more? I got her the works too. Cheese, bacon,

01:33everything. She needs to gain weight. Oh, yes. You want to find a toy?

01:39Then after I took her to PetSmart and it was like her first time toy shopping,

01:43she didn't know what to do. And I'm like, you can get whatever you want.

01:47I don't think she's ever lived in a home, doesn't know what a TV is. Look at that.

01:51I got a big hotel room that was dog friendly. Pearl, you want up? Can you get up?

01:56She was kind of circling the bed at first and then I threw some toys at her and then

02:01she made herself comfortable and then splayed out. First time in a bed, huh, Pearl?

02:06I just wanted to make her feel loved because obviously she'd never felt that.

02:12We had a flight booked for her to go to her forever home. So we got up early.

02:16On our way to the airport to go to Pearl's new home. It'll be a good day.

02:22Luckily, we didn't hit traffic this time. It was so hard to say goodbye to her,

02:27just even checking her in. I was like, oh my God, I'll see you again, I swear.

02:32Hi, Pearl. Hi, baby. How are you doing? I'd only known Pearl for 24 hours and

02:39already she had a huge impact on my life. The Forever family was waiting.

02:44Look at me, Pearl. Oh my goodness. Look at this. This is your new family.

02:51Pearl, I'm so happy for you. It was a bittersweet goodbye.

03:02Oh my goodness, you're a good girl.

03:08They sent me videos, photos, everything.

03:14Her family now, they have amazing properties and two other dogs there.

03:20She's got so much energy and so much love. It's just been the most amazing thing to see.
