00:00Top of the group, still in our hands and we keep moving and keep building, tough conditions,
00:07pitch wasn't great, it's the warmest it's been since we've been here, so we're adapting
00:11to that, but yeah, a good point on the board and we're top of the group, no worries.
00:16When you look at this England squad with the amount of players in them, with so much talent,
00:19players who have had a fantastic season, what do you think maybe needs to change for England
00:23to play that expansive attacking football?
00:26It's not much, we're playing against a low block 5-3-2, we've come under pressure, we've
00:31had a good game plan today, no game is ever easy, you can't just think you're going to
00:37roll out on that pitch and storm teams 4-5-0, everyone wants us to do that, but it's never
00:42that easy and we've got a point, so we've got four points from two games in tournament
00:46football, we're top of the group, we move on to Tuesday.
00:49And important that it's still in your own hands really?
00:52Yeah, exactly, we've kept it in our own hands and we keep focused and recover well.
00:56We've got the training pitch and we know we've got more levels to come and we'll be right.
01:03I think emotions are high definitely after the game and rightly so, but if we put it
01:10into perspective, it's somewhere we've been before, we've not played at our best and got
01:18a result, which is frustrating on one hand, but again, it's tournament football and I
01:25think we're top of the group.
01:27So, a lot of positives to take out of it, I know it's very frustrating to not get something
01:35more out of the game, which we want to, but as I said, we've done this in previous tournaments
01:41and we've got about those games quite quickly.
01:43But we have to move forward next game and get another three points and finish a group
01:50top and I feel very confident that we can do that.
01:54You say emotions are running high at the end, the ball's not happy in the changing room?
01:58In certain aspects, yeah, definitely.
02:01I think we all know that we could have played better, we could have used the ball more,
02:06created more chances.
02:08Again, we've played against Denmark a few times now and they're a great team, they've
02:11got great players and they made it difficult today with a back five, I think.
02:17I just said to someone in the changing room, look, they've shown us quite a lot of respect
02:21there and they played a back five and made it really difficult for us.
02:26I'm a positive person, I always look at the positives out of the game and look where we
02:30can improve, but look, we've got a point out of the game against a good team and we need
02:38to move forward.
02:39Two big positives for you.
02:41Your own fitness, which seems to be improving game by game, which you needed, I think.
02:45But Mark Gay alongside you as well, you're so used to playing alongside Harry Maguire,
02:48there's a real understanding building between the two of you there and he was outstanding
02:52again tonight, wasn't he?
02:53Yeah, definitely.
02:54Both upset to concede a goal, but that's football.
03:00I think our intentions are always there to keep the clean sheet and it's so important
03:03in tournament football.
03:06I've not watched it back, but it seemed like a great strike on the pitch and sometimes
03:12we can't do anything about that.
03:13If it's going to be us conceding that way, then we have to hold our hands up and keep
03:20fighting.
03:21I thought, especially towards the end, we controlled our emotions.
03:26I know the crowd got a bit frustrated and I think they're great signs for us to keep
03:32moving forward, keep improving.
03:35If we can control emotions in these big games, it's a sign of a winning team.
03:42We want to do everyone proud and we gave everything.
03:46Maybe it wasn't some people's cup of tea, but we go again and we keep fighting for our
03:54team-mates and to top the group.
03:57Cheers.
04:05Cheers.
