00:28But divisions appeared over the weekend as France Unbowed chose not to reinvest in candidates

00:33deemed too critical of the party's leader, Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

00:36Yes, it was a mistake.

00:38And then it gave us 48 hours of controversies,

00:40which we could have done without, two weeks before the election.

00:43According to recent polls, the left-wing alliance are projected to win 28% of the vote,

00:48a recent strength in numbers.

00:50But after the national rally's historic gains in the European parliamentary elections,

00:55polls suggest they stand to win 33% of the vote.

00:59I think there can be no half measures.

01:02Either it is the national rally with a situation of division, of chaos,

01:06with a certain violence even, or it is the capacity of the left to bring about a solution.
