00:00Halim's businessmen pleaded with the court to bring him back to life

00:07against former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad

00:10and two other individuals in connection with his arrest in the UEM group by the government.

00:16Justice A. Surendra Anand said the appeal notice was filed on the 11th of last month.

00:22On May 14, the prosecutor's office ordered Judge Suzana Mohamad Said to revoke Halim's case

00:28because it was said that it was filed in excess of the appointed time

00:32and the claim has been revoked in the previous case.

00:36The court also ordered Halim to pay RM10,000 to the defendants

00:41namely Mahathir, former second finance minister Nur Muhammad Yaakob and the government.

00:46The state prosecutor's office representing the three defendants argued

00:51that Halim cannot continue this case because it needs to be filed within the appointed time

00:56according to the Act of 1953 and the Act of 1948.

01:04The defendants said that Halim filed a similar claim in the high court more than 10 years ago

01:10which was also revoked to compensate for the damage caused by the case.
