Trump Woos CEOs with Promises of Tax Cuts and Economic Growth, Says Country Needs a President 'at the Top of His Game'

Donald Trump met privately with around 80 CEOs to pitch his economic agenda if elected president again in 2024. Trump promised the CEOs tax cuts, including lowering the corporate tax rate to 20% and eliminating taxes on worker tips. He told a story about excited tipped workers approving of eliminating tip taxes that made the CEOs laugh. Attendees included CEOs from Apple, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Bank of America. Trump took a dig at President Biden, saying the country needs a president "at the top of his game." He also told House Republicans about proposing an "all tariff policy" to eliminate income taxes.
