J&K Terror Attacks: Farooq Abdullah Urges ‘Talking To The Neighbours’ After Reasi Bus Terror Attack

National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah addressed the ongoing issue of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasising the need for dialogue with neighbouring countries. He stated, "We still have problems with our neighbour. These problems will not be solved by military action... Unless we talk to our neighbours, we cannot solve it. The terrorists are coming through borders, and they will continue coming. Whichever government will be there tomorrow, will have to face the same thing... We need to come out of these situations." Dr. Abdullah highlighted the significance of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, expressing concerns about potential incidents being exaggerated across the country. He assured that Kashmiris do not support such acts.

00:00You see, unfortunately, we still have problem with our neighbor.
00:07And the problem with neighbor will not be solved by military action.
00:12Unless we talk to our neighbors, we will not be able to solve the problem that we have
00:19here.
00:20We need to come out of these situations.
00:24How long will we face these tragedies?
00:27You see, unfortunately, we still have problem with our neighbor.
00:35And the problem with neighbor will not be solved by military action.
00:40No military action has solved anything.
00:43Look at what is happening between Ukraine and Russia.
00:47People thought in two weeks it will be over.
00:49It's the second year now that that war continues and destruction continues.
00:56Look at the Gaza situation.
01:02These things don't solve the problems.
01:04Today, United Nations Security Council has taken up now that between Hamas and Israelis,
01:11they will have to find a solution.
01:16And this is the way we find that in India also.
01:20Unless we talk to our neighbors, we will not be able to solve the problem that we have
01:27here.
01:28Because these terrorists are coming over the border.
01:33And they continue to come.
01:36Whichever government tomorrow is in here, we'll have to still face the same thing.
01:41And innocent people get died.
01:44You see that a security person of the CRPF died in that attack in Kothua, in Dhoda.
01:51Now look at these things.
01:55Look at them seriously.
01:57We need to come out of these situations.
02:00How long will we face these tragedies?
02:05And we have a yatra coming now, which is a major yatra.
02:09Any small incident that might take place in that, will be blown up in the rest of the
02:14country.
02:16And we Kashmiris are not responsible for these things.
02:20We have never favored these things.
02:22Sir, we are seeing that since the new government formed, BJP government headed by MDA, so is
02:27the number of attacks in Jammu particularly.
02:30Any particular reason why these incidents happen?
02:33I think we should see to, that Jammu seems to be more permeable.
02:41And they are coming from all areas.
02:43I don't think they are coming only from our border.
02:45I think they must be crossing other borders also, and then traveling to this area.
02:52This must be seen.
02:53This must be looked into.
02:56How do we overcome this problem?
02:59This we cannot overcome, unless we find a solution between the two nations.
03:04Can you say, is it due to the, because Election Commission has already declared the date,
03:09maybe the elections will be held here in the month of September.
03:12So, in terms of incidents, is the...
03:15Elections will take place.
03:17Election took place for the Parliament also, when incidents have taken place.
03:21I don't think elections can be prevented by this.
03:24But we have to find a final solution.
03:27That is important.
03:29That's important for the good of the nations, both nations.
03:33As Vajpayeeji said, that neighbours cannot be changed, friends can be changed.
03:40You are always favouring Raibab process.
03:41Just two days ago when I talked to Omar Abdullah, he always says that, absolutely Raibab, that
03:46both nations should come forward together and make the way.
03:49And they have to.
03:50Time has come.
03:51When there are two governments, there is a government in Pakistan.
03:57I think they are wanting to have peaceful atmosphere with us.
04:03Let's open the door to them.
04:05We are big brothers.
04:08And let us revive SAARC.
04:11SAARC was made by Mrs. Gandhi for good of this entire area.
04:18So that we could develop together.
04:21That's important.
