00:00Enough is enough!

00:10So I've met constituents over a long time in this village,

00:14and of course at the moment I'm a candidate.

00:16Over that time they've told me how concerned they were

00:19about this potential further development of quarrying close to West Deakin.

00:24My complaints about this are multi.

00:26They're about the scale, the closeness to the inhabitants,

00:32the effect that will have on their well-being,

00:34both environmentally and all kinds of other ways.

00:38And in the end I want the future generations to live in West Deakin

00:44to enjoy the same quality of life that people have there now

00:48and have for a very long time.

00:51We either want to be surrounded by green space

00:55or we don't.

00:56Do we care about what was once called the green and pleasant land?

01:00Or are we going to industrialise the whole of the countryside?

01:03I'm currently fighting pylons, I'm fighting solar,

01:08I'm fighting for Millfield in Market Deeping to be reserved as a green space,

01:13and I'm just as enthusiastically now fighting this.

01:16I'm asking you nicely, will one of you represent

01:20Breedon and come and speak to us?

01:23We spoke before about you showing us respect,

01:28okay, so I'm asking you to show us respect now.

01:30It's a bit bizarre that you organise a consultation event

01:33for people to be consulted about what's going to happen in the village

01:36and then you deny them access to the exhibition.

01:39This is not a particularly effective way of organising a consultation.

01:4325 people at a time is mainly about divide and rule

01:47so that they can manage who's been in there and what information is given

01:51and there's very little opportunity to triangulate the information.
