Kia, Stellantis recall a combined 775,000 vehicles

00:30 In other news, 775,000 vehicles are being recalled from two automakers.

00:35 Kia is calling back 463,000 of its Telluride SUVs and Stellantis-owned Dodge is recalling

00:43 roughly 212,000 SUVs and pickup trucks.

00:46 The Kia recall involves Tellurides made between 2020 and 2024.

00:51 The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says there's potential for the front seats

00:56 to catch fire.

00:57 The agency has cautioned owners to park outside and away from buildings due to the issue.

01:04 This is Kia's second Telluride recall just this year.

01:07 The company called back 400,000 vehicles because the SUV had the potential to roll away even

01:13 while in park.

01:14 The Stellantis recall is for several different models.

01:17 2022 Dodge Durangos and 2022 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks have an issue with their anti-lock

01:24 braking systems, according to Stellantis.

01:27 That issue could deactivate the vehicle's stability control system, which prevents the

01:31 loss of steering capabilities during an emergency.

01:35 According to NHTSA, driving a car without that system increases the probability of an

01:40 accident.
