00:17 Pushing a car to its limits requires skill from the driver, the car and the tyres.

00:23 Well today we'll be talking about the tyres.

00:25 Welcome to Drivespark, I'm Vedant Johari and we are at the Coast High Performance track

00:30 to test out Bredestein's new tyres, the Ultra 40s.

00:35 Now the Ultra 40s have been in the US market for quite some time and these have been rated amongst the top 3 SUV tyres in the US market.

00:44 And now they've brought these tyres to India for us to test and they will be launching it in the Indian market.

00:49 So what do these tyres have to offer?

00:51 Well these are offered in two main sizes, 21 inches and 22 inches and they're only for the performance SUVs.

00:58 So today we got it tested out on a BMW X5 around the Coast Performance track and man, I must say these tyres are phenomenal.

01:08 For a street going tyre to be able to handle the amount of G's we clock on the track, approximately 0.9, 0.95 G's,

01:17 still giving us that grip and that confidence to attack that same corner and the following corner, these Ultra 40s could do it.

01:24 So now let's take a closer look at the tyres.

01:27 We have one on display right here and we'll see the groove, the tyre size that this one comes in and why these tyres are so special.

01:36 Well these tyres are designed by a very very famous international automobile designer, Giorgiano.

01:42 And if you just look at the tyres, you can see that they are made for performance.

01:47 Right from all the central grooves that we get, the circumferential grooves, to the sidewalls and even in the centre,

01:56 these small little slits that we get, each and everything plays a huge role in why these tyres are so great.

02:03 So this tyre that we have is a 285/45 R21.

02:07 Now 21 inch tyres with a 285/45 ratio, wonderful.

02:13 Now the thickness of the tyre, right to the design from the tyre to the sidewall, it's meant to flex,

02:21 it's meant to give you that extra grip that we require when we're driving it hard.

02:25 So now all we need to do is get these tyres in our hand to actually give you guys a proper road test review,

02:30 taking it in the city, through highways and even trying it out on small tracks in our local area

02:37 to see if these tyres actually live up to the mark or if it's only a one time thing.

02:41 But if you ask me, I'm pretty sure these are actually going to live up to the mark and give us that extra grip

02:48 and that extra safety we require as drivers on the road.
