00:00And on this day of the opening night of the 2024 NBA Finals,

00:07here is the line for game number one. The Celtics will

00:11enter as a six and a half point home favorite. The over

00:15understands at 215 and a hook. There will be plenty of

00:19breakdowns and previews coming your way throughout these next

00:22two and a half hours to get you set for the NBA Finals. But

00:26DRS, we have finally arrived. What are your impressions of

00:29the numbers for game number one? Looks pretty strong for

00:32the Boston Celtics here being a favorite of close to seven

00:35points at home. We know how dominant the Boston Celtics

00:37have been at home this season, and rightfully so. They have

00:40been decent in the playoffs at home. They just finished off

00:42that sweep against the Pacers, but they did lose back-to-back

00:45game number twos on their home court in their first two

00:47rounds. We'll see if that holds up because if you are the

00:49Mavericks, you gotta get in and steal one in Boston before

00:52you head back to Dallas to shift back that home court

00:55advantage. But also, when we handicap these situations, we

00:58talked about this ad nauseum, and we had a lot of time to

01:01get ready for this game, but I still have in my mind, rest

01:04versus rust. And it's not saying like, well, one team

01:06had three days off, one team had 19 days off, right? It's

01:09both about equal here. Both of these teams will be rested

01:12and ready, but the problem is going to be is sometimes when

01:14you take players out of their normal NBA routine, which

01:17they've been following all the way since back in October,

01:19and you place them back in an environment where it's not

01:21even just, hey, we took a week off for the Olympic break

01:24and we're back on a random Thursday night in February

01:27to play the Charlotte, you know, Charlotte or New Orleans

01:30at this point. Now, this is the NBA finals. This is the

01:32biggest spotlight of your career. And last time I checked

01:34here, the Dallas Mavericks, when's the last time they won

01:37a championship with the players on their team? And also

01:39you take a look at the Boston Celtics, same thing you

01:41can be said across. This is a big spot environment in game

01:44number one right out of the break. Could we get a lower

01:46scoring first quarter? Slowness into it as these two teams

01:49seal it out. That's what I'm worried about the most here

01:51entering into game number one.
