00:00The Paddle Philippines announced that the national team will compete in the Asia-Pacific Paddle Tour that will start on June 7.
00:08The preparations for the competition are already in full swing.

00:17After the successful start of the Philippine Open 2024,
00:21one of the new paddle tournaments in the country,
00:24where Sebastian and Jarek Laval were champions in Mixed Beginners,
00:28Dale Maltialto and Hamda Buwabing in Mixed Intermediate,
00:31and Tao Yitan and Brian Saarinas in Mixed Open Event.
00:35The Paddle Philippines is now in the process of preparing for the Asia-Pacific Paddle Tour,
00:39which will start on June 7 until June 9.
00:41According to Paddle Philippines coach Brian Joshua Casau,
00:45the national team will practice two to three times a week
00:48while preparing for the upcoming competition.
00:55So, two months ago, we had two teams who played in the Hong Kong tournament.
01:00Okay, and now the host is in Bali.
01:03Okay, there's a club in Bali that will be hosting this Asia-Pacific Paddle Tour.
01:07Brian added that the tournament will also be a way for the sport of paddling to expand in the country
01:14and the interest of the Filipinos.
01:15This is also a great opportunity for the country to have a say when it comes to paddling.
01:22Paddle is not that big in Southeast Asia.
01:28So, we're just one of the countries that have paddles.
01:32But hopefully, we're looking forward to playing in the SEA Games.

01:42We're training them and we're exposing them for tournaments.
