00:00 I'm Nathan, I'm the Game Director of Ghostbusters Rise of the Ghost Lord.

00:03 In December we presented an all new roadmap of exciting improvements and content for 2024,

00:08 and I'm here today to give you an update of what we've been working on over the winter

00:12 and what you can expect this January.

00:21 So what's new in the Slimehunt update?

00:23 So it's a brand new mission featuring the iconic ghost from the original movie.

00:28 Somehow he's made his way from New York to San Francisco and you are going to be hunting

00:33 him down in the Hookfarber Mansion.

00:36 Using your PKE meter in a mission that's more about investigation and exploration.

00:42 For this update we wanted to add more references to the original films, so obviously that meant

00:46 adding the flight suits from the original Ghostbusters movies as a selectable option

00:50 for all the current in-game playable avatars.

00:52 As well as the original khaki colour scheme we also added dark blue from the second Ghostbusters

00:57 film, as well as three more options from the real animated Ghostbusters series.

01:01 In addition to the flight suits our team also focused on bringing maybe the most iconic

01:05 ghost from the Ghostbusters franchise to the game, which is Slimer.

01:09 Slimer is now available as a playable avatar as well as an enemy that you can hunt down

01:14 in the new game mode.

01:15 For the animation team it was a really exciting challenge to bring out his personality and

01:19 we referenced a lot from the film like the iconic scenes where he's drinking wine, where

01:24 he's copying out the loot from Flate and also where you get to trap him with your Protobot

01:28 and traps.

01:32 So with Slimer as the star of this new update it was really important to us to be as faithful

01:36 as possible to the existing franchise.

01:38 So when we were developing Slimer we worked directly with GhostCorp, iterating on his

01:42 design to make him as authentic as possible.

01:44 When we visited the film set for research we actually got to meet the original puppet

01:49 and the puppeteers.

01:50 This content has got the strongest connections to the existing Ghostbusters franchise and

01:54 story plus we've taken a look at the tone, it's darker, it's scarier and it's spookier.

02:00 Plus this mission is just as good played single player as it is multiplayer.

02:06 And we're really excited to announce that Dan Aykroyd is reprising his role as Ray Stance

02:11 in our game for the first time.

02:13 He will be guiding you through the experience of hunting Slimer.

02:17 It was extremely special for us to get to work with one of the key architects of Ghostbusters

02:21 and a privilege that he performed as Ray in our game.

02:24 San Francisco Ghostbusters come in, this is Dr. Ray Stance from New York.
