So as ever there is loads on in the city of Bristol, so Charlie can you tell us what is
00:06
our first what is on in the city?
00:09
So first is that a historic swimming pool in our city is extending its opening hours.
00:17
Bristol South Swimming Pool on Dean Lane in Bedminster has announced it will soon be operating
00:24
from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Friday, with its weekend hours unchanged.
00:32
This swimming pool has served the community since 1931 and is set in a Grade 2 listed
00:37
building and it hosts a range of activities including swimming lessons and fitness sessions.
00:44
Thank you Charlie.
00:45
So shall we move on to our second what's on in the city?
00:50
Next is that the Ladyboys of Bangkok are returning to Bristol for what has been described
00:55
as an outrageously funny new production.
01:00
So the anniversary show is part of their 25 years of fun tour and it will be hosted at
01:06
a pavilion set up on the Danze.
01:09
It will seat up to 500 people and is being described as a cabaret venue which will also
01:16
have two bars, street food and the Ladyboys very own Tuk Tuk.
01:22
So they are returning to Bristol this summer.
01:26
That is a very exciting one for the city, thank you Charlie.
01:30
And finally let's chat to Adriana from Bristol World about a Hamilton that will be in the
01:34
city for the next month.
01:35
The story of the musical focuses on America's founding father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant
01:41
from the West Indies who became George Washington's right hand man during the Revolutionary War
01:48
and helped shape the very foundations of America we know today.
01:54
It blends hip hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway.
