Documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, an Oscar-nominee who made food and American diets his life's work, famously eating only at McDonald’s for a month to illustrate the dangers of a fast-food diet, has died. He was 53.

00:50 While I kind of fast forwarded your life

00:52 in a period of like 30 days of here's what's going to happen,

00:54 this happens regularly to people across the world.

00:57 And I think that people don't realize

01:00 that just these types of diets can be very dangerous.

01:31 So I think, no, it's not depressing.

01:33 It's part of the reason why I wanted to make this film,
