00:00 Good, Karen.
00:01 You briefly talked on Monday about the President's meeting tomorrow with the families involved
00:05 in the Brown v. Board of Education case.
00:07 Do you have more you can share about the details, who he's meeting with, how the meeting came
00:11 about and what his message will be tomorrow?
00:12 I do.
00:13 I have a little bit more detail on that.
00:16 Just like the, obviously these are a couple of days of really important engagement that
00:19 the President has.
00:20 I'll start with the Brown v. Board of Education.
00:25 So this week at the White House, we're recognizing it is the 70th anniversary of the landmark
00:30 Supreme Court decision, Brown v. Board of Education becoming the law of the land.
00:34 President Biden will participate in a number of engagements that honor the legacy of those
00:39 who paved the way for progress and hard-fought rights for black Americans.
00:44 He will also highlight his vision for how we must continue to build on these freedoms.
00:50 Tomorrow President Biden will meet with the plaintiffs from the landmark Brown v. Board
00:54 of Education case and their families at the White House.
00:57 And then on Friday, as I stated earlier this week as well, May 17th, President Biden will
01:02 deliver remarks at the NAACP 70th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education at the National
01:11 Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
01:16 The President and the Vice President will also meet with, excuse me, I have a little
01:23 cold guys, sorry.
01:26 The President and the Vice President will also meet with the leaders of the Divine Nine,
01:31 historically black sororities and fraternities.
01:34 On Sunday, May 19th, also as you all are tracking, the President is going to deliver commencement
01:39 address at the 140th Morehouse College commencement in Atlanta, Georgia.
01:45 So as you can see, there are a couple of engagements that he's having in the next four or five
01:50 days and so we will have more to share and obviously you'll hear from him directly.
