★大乱闘・激闘！ 6年ぶり“本社神輿担ぎ

東京の下町で一番早く開催される夏祭り「下谷神社大祭」が12日、最終日を迎え、神輿（みこし）を担ぐ威勢の良い掛け声やお囃子（はやし）の音が響き渡りました。
3日間にわたって開催される「下谷神社」のお祭りは、1000年以上の歴史があります。
今年は2年に一度の「本祭り」の年で、最終日となる12日は高さが3メートルもある本社神輿が勇壮な掛け声とともに町を練り歩きます。

「本祭り」が行われる予定だった2020年は新型コロナウイルスの影響で中止になり、おととしの2022年は神輿を山車（だし）に載せていたため、神輿が氏子たちに担がれるのは6年ぶりになります。
The Shitaya Shrine Festival has a history of over 1,000 years, and is known as the earliest summer festival in the Tokyo shitamachi area. The Shitaya Shrine Festival is celebrated on alternating years with the "true festival" which features a parade of the shrine's mikoshi portable shrine and the "shadow festival" which features the town council's mikoshi. 2024 is a year of the true festival, and the streets will be bustling with a lively crowd of attendees.
