“Unacceptable...” Australia Fumes As Chinese Jet Fires Flares At Chopper After “Provocative Move”

Australia accused a Chinese fighter jet of firing flares into the path of a naval helicopter last weekend over international waters of the Yellow Sea. A Chinese J-10 jet dropped flares near an Australian MH-60R Seahawk helicopter during a routine flight on May 4, said Australia. Australia's treasurer slammed Beijing over "dangerous" conduct following reports of Chinese fighter jet firing flares. The Chinese jet “dropped flares about 300 metres in front of the Seahawk helicopter and about 60 metres above it, said Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles.
