00:12The footage, captured on Saturday 4th May at 7.45pm, revealed the fly-tipper pulling
00:18his vehicle up on the road outside the closed down industrial units.
00:22The driver then lifted the back of the truck and proceeded to drive forward, letting tonnes
00:27of branches and organic waste tumble onto the road, making a speedy escape, the culprit
00:32left behind heaps of green waste, partially obstructing the roadway.
00:37Fly-tipping is a serious offence, with Birmingham levying potential fines up to £50,000 or
00:43even imprisonment.
00:44According to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Birmingham witnessed
00:49over 15,000 fly-tipping instances in the year leading to March 2023.
