WATCH: The Leader caught up with Armidale teenager Ted Chicks during his charity run from Sydney to Armidale to raise money and awareness for his mate Mac Downs, who is currently fighting cancer. Video by Gareth Gardner and Jonathan Hawes

00:00So the cause is Win The Day charity, it's a charity that helps families that need a

00:11bit of money when their kids go into hospital.

00:14I've started from Randwick Hospital in Sydney and I've made it to Canberra.

00:20I run 25 to 30 kilometres a day.

00:24A few challenges have been the range, that was a big challenge and then I'm thinking

00:31the Moonbees will be a bit of a challenge as well.

00:33I never really ran before, not all that good at running but yeah, that's why I did it,

00:40push myself out of my limits.

00:42When I'm finished the run it's a stake at the pub, yeah a bit of unhealthy food just

00:48to re-energise me, there's a lot.

00:51We're just going to stop in here, it's a bit of a stopping point.
