00:07The question is, where will they get the funds for that?

00:13There is a pension for senior citizens, but only for the indigent or the poor.

00:21Mother Beatriz, who is already 72 years old, did not receive a pension, even though she is always applying for this.

00:29I was told that I will be validated, but I have already been validated several times.

00:32Until now, I still haven't received a pension.

00:34I am always being denied.

00:36Most of the time, other people die of heart attacks, but nothing happens.

00:41That's why I said, I will just stop getting heart attacks.

00:44I will just let myself die.

00:47Currently, there is a Panukalang Batas in Camara that if passed, all senior citizens in the country will receive a pension.

00:55If there is no qualification, everyone, whether 60 years old and above, whether rich or poor,

01:01whether they have a pension or not, will receive a monthly pension.

01:05You will register in OSCA to be counted as a senior citizen.

01:12Under the Universal Social Pension Bill, the pension is P500 per month for the first year.

01:18Every year, P100 will be added up to P1,000.

01:22To achieve this, a P89 billion fund will be needed for the estimated 10.5 million senior citizens.

01:30The question is, where will this money go?

01:33According to Congressman Loreto Amante, Vice-Chair of the House Senior Citizens Committee,

01:37according to the study, the National Budget can fund the pension of grandparents

01:42who do not owe and no agency can reduce the budget.

01:46But Panukala still has a long way to go.

01:48It was approved by the House Committee on Appropriations earlier before being included in the plenary.

01:52If it passes through the House of Representatives, it needs to pass through the Senate.

01:56If it is also approved, the President needs to pass it to pass a law.
