All right, yeah a bit out of breath climbed up this escarpment country and to a top end here in Northern Territory
00:05
We've got this huge. I
00:08
Don't know what you call it, but I don't know if it's a monolith or something
00:12
But here I'll try and pick it up and see how big it is
00:15
And it just keeps going the intricate patterns are off its head
00:20
but
00:23
It's too hard with a phone to try and appreciate and show you how just how big it is
00:30
They're very deep
00:32
After the wet you'd imagine this would stay full of water for a while before it evaporated
00:36
But it would be well over 40 50 meters
00:41
So whoever did it must have spent a hell of a long time doing it keeps going
00:48
Like I said phones probably not doing it any justice
00:54
It's amazing. It's like spikes or fins maybe I don't know if it's supposed to represent a giant
01:00
fish whale or something
01:03
Have a look at it through here the phone
01:06
Can't pick it up. I how steep it is and just how
01:10
Intricate
01:14
these grooves are
01:16
Go off. I'll zoom back out. Look look how much further down it goes
01:20
I'm trying not to go
01:23
Trip over
01:25
Whoever did this or who's responsible? This is amazing. What you couldn't even guess how many hours or
01:31
Whatever days weeks months years even that's gone into doing this
01:37
and to think
01:40
I'm 49 born and bred in the territory and I didn't know about it. Let me just zoom over here for a bit
01:45
But more the escarpment
01:47
I'm not going to say where it is
01:50
Because you know last thing we need is people coming out and graffitying it or doing stupid shit to it
01:56
but yeah, it's beautiful goes down off the side into the
01:59
rocks
02:02
All I'll say is it's in the escarpment country that's about as much as I'm going to say
02:06
And look as it keeps going down
02:09
Unbelievable
02:14
Still more it's quite steep here this last bit
02:18
Wow, I just can't believe the effort that went into this
02:24
Don't know what significance it has whether it's to do with dreaming or some sort of culture
02:31
Whether it's just yeah
02:34
hard to say
02:37
but
02:39
Always when you get a chance to get out in the northern territory and look at new things or find new places
02:48
There's always stuff to explore
02:50
Yeah coming to the end of it now I believe
02:54
And yeah, I
02:58
Assume this is where it finishes because if the heads at the other end
03:01
So I wouldn't imagine you'd start at the head and finish at the tail and then it ends in this in the scrub
03:06
there's some more
03:09
boulders if you like and some rocks
03:11
and more hills
03:14
I'd definitely want to come back here when I've got more time
03:16
I'd like to go and walk a bit further in and explore because there looks like there's some caves and things
03:21
There'd probably be a lot heap of more stuff to be found. But anyway
03:24
very happy to have
03:27
seen this
03:29
How crazy is that
03:33
Found that thing before now. Look, can you see it? It's a big goanna in this rock
03:42
You see its claws, its tail, it's huge
03:46
Well over oh two meters
03:50
carved into the rock
03:52
That is amazing. Like I said
03:54
If I had more time to explore and cruise around here in this country, maybe when the fires been and burnt
04:01
All this out. There's so many rocks and so many caves and so much hidden stuff. It'd be worth worth coming out here for
04:10
Even a day and just exploring. Like I said, we just come back down the hill after seeing that amazing
04:16
Formation in the ground and I've come across this big goanna
04:20
that's been
04:23
Etched into the I don't know if it's sandstone or what type of rock it is. But yeah, how amazing is that?
04:29
There's its back leg and its claws its tail
04:31
Unbelievable
04:34
Yeah, I'm so glad I
04:36
Come out and had a look at all this
04:38
Amazing. Gotta love the top end
