00:07 I've come here, we got told by all the boys that have played here for years and struggled

00:10 for a few wins, so the club's really embracing the new players that have come in.

00:14 It's been a bit of a turnover, six of us from Werribee to be exact, so yeah, pretty exciting.

00:20 Tell us about the battle out there today.

00:23 Tight all day, seesawing, you guys get away, Liam Monford come back, they get away, you

00:28 came back, and it was really a game that was up for grabs right to the last two or three

00:32 minutes.

00:33 It felt like it was on a knife's edge the whole game.

00:35 Like you said, we went into a couple goals lead and they pulled it back.

00:38 It felt like we'd get the momentum, we'd capitalise, and when you think we were about to run away,

00:42 they'd get the momentum back.

00:45 And that last quarter, to be honest, it felt like they were all over us.

00:48 But I'm so proud of our boys, we really bunkered down that last quarter, stoppage after stoppage,

00:53 Jordan Schroder was massive in that last quarter for us.

00:55 But yeah, proud, very proud of the boys.

00:58 Yeah, new competition for yourself and those team mates that have come along from Werribee

01:03 So every game's a new experience, different grounds, different players you're playing

01:08 against, so it's all a bit of taste and see what it's like.

01:13 But one player you must be delighted to be playing alongside is the big fella Ben Jones.

01:17 What a game he had today.

01:20 And he is just a giant out there, isn't he?

01:23 Blokes like that make you play taller.

01:25 Whatever bloke 200 centimetres, clunks them anywhere on the ground, it's huge.

01:29 He goes forward, he clunks them, kicks down the line, he clunks them, just relieves pressure

01:34 Yeah, he was immense today.

01:35 A bit about yourself, you're playing almost a high forward, you're starting on a wing,

01:40 but I'll tell you what, you like a bit of a run into the forward line and I think you

01:44 like a goal.

01:45 I don't mind a snag, I don't mind a snag.

01:47 Yeah, so I predominantly play wing, but rotate forward, that's pretty much my route, I want

01:53 to rotate forward.

01:54 But yeah, predominantly wing.

01:55 And you've got plenty of experienced runners in there alongside you, so you must be starting

01:59 after four games now, just to get a bit of a method and a bit of a feel for each other's

02:05 games.

02:06 Yeah, that's right.

02:07 With the amount of turnover in play as a new group, I think we always said from the start

02:11 of the pre-season, it's going to take us probably six to eight weeks to really gel.

02:14 So to bank these wins early is massive for us.

02:17 We fully expect to get better as the year goes on because you learn how blokes play.

02:21 So yeah, we're really excited about how we're tracking at the moment.
