00:00Well, it's half an hour since the finals went and you were promoted to step three a few days ago

00:05You were saying that try in many ways or a step five club. How have you ended up in step three?

00:10I haven't got a clue Steve if I'm honest

00:12But there's a lot of hard work now. Yeah, the players know it. I just

00:17I'm open and I said to all the players that we're just a city win

00:21We've mostly got one of the lowest budgets in this league. Let alone the one above. Yeah, but we're not

00:26We just we don't find the money we're just go into it and we're just battle every week. Yeah

00:32Which is kind of what you've done this season. Well, we've done it this season. We've just battled and

00:3712 weeks ago. I said the season's over

00:41And then they just gone in an incredible run. Yeah, a lot of it is

00:4612 13 weeks ago. Graham G actually said that he was nearly dying. He's ready to go

00:53And that sort of spurred a little bit on but it just shows the character of the player some of the players are unbelievable

00:59Yeah, they've come with me from step five. Graham G was the biggest influence and yeah, then coming

01:05And listen, they all love they love playing for the club

01:08We see if we we keep them all which I hope we do and we just see where we go

01:13We're not a side that can go out and get players from anywhere

01:16So we just compete with whoever we've got compete with if I'm honest with you

01:21We're gonna be in the same league as Aventon, Waterlooville and Bobby Regis. Yeah, it's unbelievable

01:37The spirit of the team and the squad just seemed to get stronger in those last

01:41three months of the season and during the playoffs as well because even going to Ramsgate in the

01:45Semi-final not many people gave you much chance. The players Tuesday were absolutely outstanding

01:50And I've said to everyone and it's not I'm not Chris. Listen Ramsgate deserve to go up. All right, there's no shadowing

01:59They've got the biggest

02:00Support they've got all the setup and they most probably were

02:04If not the best team second best team in the league and the league shows that I mean

02:09I always said that I thought Cray would win it

02:12But Ramsgate should have gone up but they haven't and

02:15It's not me. I feel sorry for Ramsgate because they batted us two weeks before we played them

02:21Which was a bit an advantage to us because we just sat back and it like we did in the first 20 minutes here tonight

02:27Yeah, but we were lucky we scored the goal

02:29but yeah, everything we get tonight went in and

02:33I'm just so proud of all the lads so proud of them. I mean Dabba, Danny, Dabba's been unbelievable all the lads

02:40It's a big backroom team as well as they all play their part. Honestly, we've got so many we've got physio

02:45We've got people and they all do it for nothing and and Dabba

02:49it's like just brought belief into all the players and we're just calm of it and we're a battling side and

02:57We'll just see where we end up. I just want to mention a couple of players

03:02But Jimmy Wild's goals in that last part of that season made the difference didn't we?

03:06Jimmy Wild, when Jimmy Wild first come back, he wasn't fit. He went away

03:12He had a couple of games at Pagan. He was an exceptional and I mean exceptional for 12 games

03:18he struggled the last two with injury, but he scored and

03:23Tonight he's created the first goal and got injured after five minutes. We thought we were in trouble then

03:29Do we have to change our game plan the way we are? But the lads have just pulled through

03:35Absolutely amazing. And Conor Cody left Chai, went to Whitehawk

03:39Came back and he's been again, he's been immense hasn't he?

03:43Conor Cody, the back four, the back four have been absolutely, Ryan Davison, Rob Hutchins

03:50Curtis DaCosta and Conor Cody have been unreal over the last 12-13 weeks

03:57Fantastic. And just finally, am I right in thinking that you've had to interrupt your little holiday to come back tonight?

04:02Yeah, I came, I went to Alicante yesterday morning

04:06I've gone over there for some, and as I said to you, I booked it 14 weeks ago. So I went to Alicante

04:13Yesterday morning, I've come back today and I'm going back to Alicante in a minute after

04:18Well deserved and everybody gets a bit of a break now

04:21But it won't be long before you can start to think about the next challenge
