Desperate plea from family of missing man Zane Stevens a week after he disappeared north of Broome

The family of a WA man missing on the outskirts of Broome for more than a week, have pleaded for information about his whereabouts.

00:07 became bogged and they're becoming increasingly worried.

00:10 It's been too long, he's been gone.

00:25 He was travelling with another man but they became separated when they set off for help.

00:38 The other male was picked up by a passerby.

00:41 Zane Stephen's hasn't been seen since but police believe they've found a piece of his

00:53 Mr Stephen's family are baffled as to why he was travelling through the Kimberley.

00:57 All I know was that he was supposed to attend a funeral in Carnarvon but then he got actually

01:02 sidetracked by the other gentleman who was with him.

01:06 Despite an extensive seven day land, air and sea search in difficult terrain, police say

01:11 resources will be scaled back.

01:14 We're effectively working on a day by day basis for the search now to decide where we

01:18 deploy, what resources we use and how long we continue the search out in the area for.

01:23 As the police search tapers off, family and friends are clinging to hope that someone

01:27 will come forward with information.
