00:03Yeah, no, it's the the optics aren't that great right now, Evan.
00:06No. And like, again, like you think about I was talking about this
00:09with Carl the other night that play behind the net
00:13and it was small, like that Nylander play where Boquist just hits him.
00:17Yeah. Yeah. And I'm watching.
00:19I'm like, he just like disengaged.

01:05There's a lot of cool deals over there.
01:06So go use the game time app.
01:08That's Connor Ryan. Evan Marinovsky.
01:11Connor, what is up, Evan?
01:14I'm doing well. How are you doing? Doing great.
01:17I'm doing great. Bruins are in a good spot again.
01:20Bruins up three one in this series.
01:24We're recording this on Monday, so you'll probably hear this Tuesday.
01:27Maybe a little pregame listening before game five Tuesday night in Boston.
01:34You know, three one series lead normally is a good thing for a team.
01:39After last year, not so great.
01:43And then you also look at twenty thirteen and twenty eighteen
01:46for the Bruins against the Leafs.
01:47They were up three one in those series.
01:49Now, granted, they won both of them, but took a little bit.
01:53Took a little bit of a look.
01:56You had to sweat a little bit, especially in twenty thirteen.
01:58Had to had to sweat a little.
02:00And then they finally pulled it out.
02:02So I ask you, how do you feel about where the Bruins are at right now?
02:06Yeah, I mean, I think the Bruins are in a good place.
02:08I mean, when you're up three one in a series, you do have that that added lift
02:13and that added breathing room that you kind of need to to go far in a series.
02:17And again, you mentioned like the Maple Leafs series
02:20and how they kind of made things hotter on themselves
02:22in those previous two matchups.
02:23But even look at like Florida last year, I was like digging
02:27into the numbers a little bit, just comparing and contrasting
02:30where the Bruins were last year at this time going to game five
02:33against Florida and then going to game five against Toronto.
02:37I'm sure we probably have a podcast.
02:38We can bring up the tape.
02:39Looking back at last year after a game, game four, I mean, like
02:43I got this one in the bag like they are coming off of that.
02:46I think I think I straight up said this series is over at that point.
02:49Yeah, I think I was like, I mean, this is done.
02:52I mean, you look at just the way the Bruins really controlled play
02:56for extended stretches when they were up in Toronto.
02:59But the Bruins won those games down in Florida.
03:02I think it was ten four was the combined score.
03:05You look at like the Bruins have the edge in special teams against Florida.
03:08They were, I think, like four for ten.
03:11I want to say in those first four games.
03:14And I think Florida was one for eleven.
03:16Look at where the Bruins are now.
03:17They're operating at almost what?
03:1850% in this series against Toronto and Toronto's one for 14.
03:23Like again, two different teams.
03:25We'll see how it plays out.
03:26But you're in that same spot where if you ask probably Bruins fans
03:29last year, feeling really good of where they're going.
03:31They're like, all right, we got what?
03:33We got Tampa Bay next.
03:34We got Toronto.
03:35You know, that's kind of where you're going into that into that matchup.
03:40That being said, as much as we run the risk of,
03:43you know, repeating the same script, if you're the Bruins,
03:45I think you're feeling really good about where you are right now.
03:49I think we mapped out
03:50what the advantages and net we're going to be for the Bruins
03:54and also at special teams like there was clear areas
03:56where this team is going to capitalize against a team like Toronto.
04:00And it's been the case.
04:01And again, there's ways to improve, right?
04:04There's the more quality chances at five on five play,
04:08especially offensively.
04:09But I think especially look at game four,
04:12which is I think probably their most complete win.
04:15That was one where, again, we talk a lot about the goaltending.
04:18That's going to be another topic going into game five.
04:20But I don't think it would have mattered
04:21whether it was swimming or all market net like the Bruins were
04:24really, really strong defensively in that game, blocking shots,
04:28limiting a lot of shots from the outside, winning battles in the neutral zone,
04:31turning pucks over.
04:33And you play a confident game like that against a Toronto team
04:36that's reeling right now, whether it's guys that are banged up,
04:39guys that are sick with Austin Matthews.
04:41Like there's a lot, I think, that's working in the Bruins favor right now.
04:44Going into a Tuesday's game.
04:47I agree.
04:47And you think about like, I think the Leafs had seven high danger chances
04:52in all situations in game four, which is really low.
04:56And again, like we'll discuss the goaltending in a bit,
05:00but like they were good.
05:01The Bruins, that was a Carl Corzine and I were saying after the game,
05:05like that was as structured a game as you could possibly play
05:09if you were the Bruins shutting the Leafs down in every part of the ice.
05:14My one minor concern, and this isn't Leafs specific.
05:18It's more like sports.
05:21This sounds dumb, but get ready for this, you know, going into this
05:26and maybe this is just me being more pessimistic about this,
05:29but like typically when a team hits rock bottom,
05:32they kind of rebound a bit and you saw that in game four, right?
05:34The Leafs rock bottom was the end of that second period.
05:37Now, the Leafs can find a new rock bottom.
05:40I have no doubt about that.
05:42But take them being the Leafs out of the equation.
05:46They seem to hit rock bottom at the end of the second period.
05:48Third period, they responded.
05:49Okay.
05:50Now, you still like had knee landers wild penalty on Jake.
05:54I mean, what are dude, what are you like a hit him with like the stone
05:57cold stunner?
05:58He didn't even have a stick.
05:59It's a funny part.
06:00Did you like just trying was Jager Buster's like the Mr.
06:03Krabs meme of like trying to find out where he was and then literally
06:06gets like dropped to the ice behind him.
06:08I love that.
06:09I mean, no stick, no stick.
06:11Like he is not a threat at all to get that puck.
06:14Like he's just hit.
06:14He's gonna hit you and to turn around and just poonk in the offensive
06:19zone. Like it's just a penalty every time.
06:23So there's stuff like that, but still they rebounded.
06:26Okay, and then you think about, you know, will they be better in
06:29game five?
06:31It's going to take a lot.
06:32I mean, they're going to have to be.
06:35They're going to have their power play is going to have to be
06:36better.
06:37They're going to have to find a way to break Jeremy Swayman.
06:40Sam Sonoff or whoever they start, you know, I feel like it would
06:43be Joseph Wall.
06:44That would be a crazy move to bring out Sam Sonoff for game
06:47five.
06:48But if it's wall, you know, breaking him, you know him having
06:51a great game.
06:52So you need a lot to go and you need the the Leafs need a lot
06:55to go in their way for game five.
06:59But you know, again, I do see some stuff on Twitter.
07:02People got to get ahead of themselves.
07:04Yeah, series is not over.
07:05This is not over like survive in advance.
07:08Yes, but it is not over until that final horn sounds when the
07:12Bruins, you know, have a lead when the horn sound.
07:15So and again, maybe that's because we went through last year
07:18and now we're all scarred from it and it's like, holy crap,
07:21you've got to finish it off or it's, you know, past years
07:24against the Leafs where they did come down to the wire.
07:28But yeah, I mean the reality is this Leafs team is reeling
07:31like Matthews didn't practice on Monday.
07:33They are I think the goaltending situation was is worst-case
07:36scenario.
07:37I mean, we talked about a prior goal, you know, going into
07:39the series like they were not good in that.
07:42I don't think even we expected it to be this bad though to
07:45have and it's not even like tons of goals have been going
07:47in but it's the goals that are going in like that van Riems
07:50like one.
07:51I mean, dude, like what is that five hole?
07:53I mean, that's like like, you know, remember in elementary
07:55school and you learned like what a different triangles like
07:57a saw I saw Solis triangles and all that bad memories.
08:01You're thinking of geometry.
08:02My brain's going to stop.
08:04It's like, oh no.
08:05Oh no, not geometry.
08:08That was him.
08:08You'd like and I saw Solis triangle under it in first
08:11five hole.
08:11I mean, you know, just easy to put the puck through and
08:14the Frederick goal in game three and some of the Martian
08:17power play goal.
08:18Maybe a whole side of the net open there.
08:20I mean, dude, like and to fully commit to the shot at the
08:24point Charlie McAvoy does not shoot the puck on the power
08:27play like he could have he could have like if McAvoy is
08:30like right here.
08:31He could have just like went over here and McAvoy still
08:34would have passed it, you know, because he's just such a
08:36pass first guy, but again Martian shoves it in the empty
08:39net.
08:40So to me like, you know, take everything, you know, I have
08:44the pessimistic side of me, but then I have the opposite
08:46side room like the Leafs as you said are just reeling.
08:50Yeah.
08:50No, it's the the optics aren't that great right now.
08:52I haven't no and like again, like you think about I was
08:56talking about this with Carl the other night that play behind
08:59the net and it was small like that Nylander play room.
09:03Yeah.
09:03Yeah, yeah, and I'm watching I'm like he just like disengaged
09:09like you could see his body just like stand there and there's
09:12no the Leafs aren't on the right side of the puck.
09:15There's nobody, you know protecting against that and again
09:19like I don't get it.
09:20I mean Keith is gone if they lose the series.
09:22I think that's like pretty obvious at this point, you know,
09:26the argument what's happened you make the argument like
09:28Shannon should be gone.
09:29I don't know if they'd get that high up.
09:30I like what's been changed and I'll see he fires do.
09:33It's which again, you can point a lot of fingers at the
09:35roster construction there.
09:36But like how is you know tree living like how is he changing
09:40the terms of the guys he signed like between Reeves and
09:43some of these other players like I guess like Bertuzzi
09:45and don't we fit some of what they needed even though it's
09:48kind of blown up in their face in this series, but even
09:51like you forget like they like add a guy like John Klingberg
09:53who was lost early on in the abuse.
09:56That's right.
09:57Who's awful like what?
09:58Yeah, the roster construction there in terms of like, all
10:01right, you're Delta.
10:03I wouldn't I don't know if you call a Delta tough hand when
10:04you've got this much talent up front, but with the cap space
10:07you got to get creative but like the way they went about
10:10things was it was a mess and as you said, like you look
10:13at like the the knee Lander play and again, like this team
10:15has enough talent.
10:16They can turn it on a hurry like doesn't matter again.
10:19You'll you'll take Matthews out there and your maples.
10:22You better hope that he's out there, but we saw in that
10:25third period as you said, like they can really ramp things
10:27up make things hectic in a hurry before they shoot themselves
10:30in the foot with like a bad penalty, but the talent is there
10:33but like that play with Boquist and knee Lander.
10:36It's you know, people look at like the Bruins when they've
10:38lost some of these series right where like they they can't
10:41match the four check of Florida of Florida or even like
10:45Carolina, Florida.
10:46I know it's kind of kind of sounded like for scum bear Jesus.
10:52I almost threw up last episode now.
10:54I'm sounding like for scum.
10:55So who knows what happens if we get if we get to the next
10:58round, I'm going to be actual Florida man.
11:00We'll see.
11:01We'll actually see what happens, but you look at stuff.
11:03It's more exactly like like GTA 6 all over again.
11:08Yes.
11:09No, yes, but like you look at those series against Florida
11:14and Carolina with the Bruins really had a lot of trouble
11:16on that for check.
11:17That's like, you know, not being able to match the execution
11:21of what Carolina or the Panthers are throwing at you and
11:24unable to adapt like wasn't like I think like of a lack
11:27of engagement or a lack of hustle or like they were just
11:30like giving up on battles.
11:31It was like you're getting hit in the face.
11:33You're sending pucks into an old man's land that turn in
11:35the puck over the capitalizing, but then you're not like
11:38you're not having those plays where you're looking at
11:40that would be like what the hell is that guy doing there?
11:43What is coil doing there?
11:44Nebraska or anyone else like that?
11:46Like we have optics like that with me lender.
11:48We're just like when you lose the battle, you lose possession
11:51like it's not great.
11:53It isn't.
11:54Oh God, imagine if that was Boston.
11:56Imagine if the like a Toronto is a really tough market.
11:59I'm not saying it is like it's Toronto those.
12:02I mean they got booed like crazy coming off the ice, but
12:05no, the wasps.
12:06Yeah, I was wild.
12:09I want to get into some interesting stuff with the Leafs.
12:11We'll talk goaltending in a second.

13:20picks pick more pick less.
13:22It's that easy.
13:23Now back to the show.
13:25So one quick Maple Leafs point before we get back to the
13:27Bruins.
13:28So I have a little funny story.
13:30So Friday night, I had hockey all weekend at New England
13:34District Festival all day Saturday.
13:36Then I Bruins on Saturday night Sunday.
13:38So there wasn't a lot of time to do stuff.
13:41So Friday night I had open and a lot of my friends and
13:44roommates were away.
13:45And so I spoke Z lives nearby and he frequents the last drop
13:52as people on Twitter.
13:54No, he loves the last drop his bar.
13:58And so I wanted to watch the game and he's fun to watch
14:01the game with and so I met up with him at the drop and we
14:03watched abs and and jets and we're sitting there talking
14:08about Mitch Marner and the Leafs and what they should do
14:10with thing and this it wasn't 3-1 at this point is 2-1 but
14:13if things had continued, you know, what could the Leafs do
14:15to fix their roster and you know, we're talking about the
14:19idea of trading Mitch Marner and you know, we're looking
14:22at the standings of you know, what teams could potentially
14:26where would he make sense?
14:27You're not trading him to a rebuilding team.
14:30Isn't that he and and spokesy goes.
14:32Well, what about Salt Lake City?
14:34What about Utah and we're like, oh, oh and we're sitting
14:38there like crunching the numbers.
14:39We're looking at the rosters and everything and the next
14:41night it's blowing up not from us.
14:44But Greg Wyshynski tweets out.
14:46What about Mitch Marner to Utah?
14:47I forget who he said in return to but Mitch Marner to Utah
14:51and I'm like did he was Greg Wyshynski?
14:54Did he have last drop bugged?
14:56Was he eavesdropping on us?
14:57I you know, I think this is like for Seinfeld fans.
15:00This is like when Kramer comes up with the the beach cologne,
15:03you know, like it was his idea first.
15:05So next if I next time I see Greg Wyshynski, I'm gonna say
15:07Greg get a big last drop.
15:10Were you a big last drop guy?
15:12Were you sitting near us?
15:13Were you listening?
15:13Did you have us bugged?
15:15So things to think about I will say I was I was worried
15:19because I think a Toronto reporter like had another scenario
15:22where I was trading him to Utah in return for Clayton Keller
15:25and I was like, that's my trade scenario guy.
15:28But again, your idea.
15:29That's my idea is Clayton Keller and also by the way bad
15:32news for my idea because I don't think that guy's moving
15:35from you or I don't think the new ownership is it wants
15:37to move a guy like Kelly's probably the most marketable
15:39guy at least for right now.
15:41So bad news for yours truly.
15:44They're stealing our ideas.
15:45This is, you know, working and I don't even go to the last
15:48people like us.
15:49Exactly.
15:50I'm afraid of running into spokesy.
15:53Exactly.
15:54That's it.
15:55That's it.
15:56But yeah, so figured that was a fun little fun little story.
16:01So going into game five looks like Jeremy Swayman is going
16:04to be starting again.
16:05That'll be three straight starts.
16:08But I mean has there's not been confirmation yet, right?
16:10I mean, I was a practice Monday.
16:11I didn't hear anybody say so.
16:12I was officially starting.
16:14I'm guessing he is going to start.
16:15I think you should start game five.
16:17Do you disagree with that?
16:18Do you think it should be Omar?
16:19I mean, where are you at with the goaltenders?
16:21I think my official take and we we had a little bit of a
16:24roundtable.
16:25I think after after practice of getting people's opinion
16:28and like the people who I think who think that Omar should
16:31go game five.
16:32I absolutely get it.
16:33There's a very compelling case to be made for either room.
16:36I my opinion that I think you stick with the hot hand and
16:39you close things out with Swayman just because he's been
16:41so good and you also have another two days off in between
16:45games, which helps out a guy that is going, you know, is
16:49going into what would be his third straight start as you
16:51said, but again, it's all about we've mentioned this before
16:54about surviving and advancing.
16:57Take care of this series close it out roll with a guy who
17:00has been an absolute monster net against Toronto all season
17:03long get the job done and then you reassess and go into
17:08a new series and you, you know, I imagine go back to the
17:11go rotation.
17:11See which of those guys gain traction again, you made the
17:15case like they're up 3-1 all mark again.
17:17I think we all agree wasn't the reason they lost game to
17:19has he been as good as Swayman?
17:21No, but if you want to get all mark back into the equation
17:26get him back into game action and best case scenario, you
17:29win that game and you know, all mark has a clinching win
17:32under his belt feeling good about his game going into most
17:36likely a Florida series.
17:37We probably have to rely on both those guys in that matchup.
17:40I can absolutely see that being the scenario.
17:42The Bruins want to take especially when you have a little
17:44bit of breathing room here.
17:45And again, if you lose you go back up to Toronto is swimming
17:48in a game six.
17:49So like you also give yourself a little bit of insurance
17:51there again, maybe my take is a little bit riskier in terms
17:57of like if swimming loses game five and also momentum is
17:59back on their side, but I think you'll get just how good
18:02he's been and you look at like, you know, I imagine Matthew
18:07is going to play game five, you know, it seems very ominous
18:10of like the fact he didn't practice at all.
18:11But if he's weakened or if he does not play go for the throat
18:16try to take things out in game five and put an end to this
18:18in advance and then you reassess from there.
18:20That's at least my take but it's very compelling case for
18:23anyone else who thinks it should be all mark.
18:25I completely agree.
18:27I think Swayman is the guy for game five.
18:30I think you should be the game guy for game five.
18:32Same reason you kept him in for game four, right?
18:34You're got, you know, you're you're you're you're going
18:37for the knockout here.
18:38Like that's the point.
18:41However, if it doesn't work, we can get into some scenarios
18:45for game six and seven if things don't work out for the
18:47Bruins, but first our friends over at Factor Meals.

22:12back to the show. So the other part of it though, like in the
22:16event that Jeremy Swayman's in for Game 5 and they lose, it
22:21presents an interesting decision going into Game 6, right?
22:26Do you stick with Swayman? Because remember last year, this
22:29is where the last year stuff starts to pop up, right? Linus
22:32Olmark, good in the first four games if memory serves. Tough
22:35Game 5 with that giveaway. Game 6 was not good. Then they had
22:38to bring in Swayman for Game 7 and Olmark kind of run out of
22:41gas. So Swayman starts Game 5, that'd be three in a
22:47row. Six would be four and obviously seven would be five.
22:49Congratulations to myself, I can count. But I did it. I can't
22:55believe I did it. But it's an interesting thing because
22:58fortunately for the Bruins, Linus Olmark started Game 2. So it
23:01has not been like weeks since he started the game. But
23:07again, if Swayman did have a stinker in Game 5 or they even
23:09lost like let's say like four to three, five to three, something
23:12like that. I mean the case would be strong and go probably go
23:16back to Olmark in Game 6 for Toronto. And it's unconventional
23:20but that would be the rotation. What do you think about that?
23:23Yeah, I mean that's like the argument, right? Is that if you
23:26go with Swayman and he loses and you go back to Olmark or
23:29what have you, it's been a long time in between shots for him,
23:32right? That kind of again throws out your whole equation. It's
23:34almost like after you broke from the rotation in Game 4, it's
23:39almost like you have to now kind of commit to it just for this
23:41series. Again, once you get past the series, we can reassess
23:44everything. It's the same thing with like looking at Fulbert
23:47and like Brazzo who could be options for Game 5. I think
23:51like especially like Brazzo could be a guy that could really
23:53impact this team at 5-on-5 play. I don't want to really tinker
23:58with the lineups right now. I don't want to change what's been
24:00working these last four games or these last especially two
24:03games up in Toronto. Stick with what you have, go with Swayman
24:07and try to close things out because if things go awry or
24:10something comes up short, snowball starts, right? And then
24:13again, you make the case. If you go with Swayman and he loses
24:16and you go back to Olmark, yes, I think you have confidence
24:19in Olmark to go up to Toronto and close things out. But if
24:22it's been a while in between games for him and all of a sudden
24:24if he's not up to speed or he's a little bit rusty, go back
24:28to Boston for Game 7, right? Like again, you automatically
24:31go through the worst case scenarios, but we saw last year.
24:34It's very easy like Bruins controlled, you know, stretch to
24:38that Game 5 last year. They had, you know, the puck on Marcian
24:41stick on that breakaway right at the end of the game and
24:44all it takes is one play from Kachuk off a bad turnover
24:47overtime to kind of change everything. So what, you know,
24:52it's you can like overanalyze everything. You can look at
24:55like the lineups and you look too far ahead. I think if you're
24:58the Bruins all about staying in the moment, that's kind of
25:00was what their overall message was at practice on Monday
25:03and it's like game fives here. You have to I think put up
25:06the best lineup right now. That's gotten to this point.
25:09I think it's keeping your lineup intact and that's Jeremy
25:11Swain in a net and you get to Game 6 you deal with it.
25:14Then if it's all mark, you still have I think faith in the
25:17reigning Vesna trophy winner to close things out, but that's
25:21a hurdle for another day. It's all about right now Game 5
25:24what gives you the best chance to punch your ticket to the
25:26next round. There's no reason to stray from where the what
25:30the lineup has been and that's what I want to hit on next
25:32right offense and defense. We saw an interesting thing at
25:36practice Marsha and and Heinen did not practice their
25:39maintenance days, but on defense Wotherspoon and forbert
25:44were technically the third pair and then grizzly
25:47Schattenkirk were the fourth and you know Montgomery
25:51mentioned forbert as an option for Game 5 like you said,
25:56I have no desire to put him in there given that the lineup
26:00has worked the team defense has been good. I don't feel
26:03the huge need to throw forbert back in there part of me
26:07also thinks could this be a decoy? We saw him do that
26:10with Lindholm and McAvoy before the series and then series
26:15starts and it's grizzly McAvoy and it's Lindholm and
26:17Carlo Anton Stroman on the ice for Game 5. Yeah, that's
26:22true. And anytime I say series by the way, my phone
26:26thinks I'm saying Siri like no, I don't turn that off
26:30right now. Sorry. I know I should I should I can't let
26:32this thing be going off while I'm over doing this, but I
26:37don't have a big desire to change the lineup right now.
26:40If it ain't broke don't fix it. I think the fourth line
26:42has come together really nicely. I like the speed that
26:44Beecher and Boak whispering. I like the puck protection
26:47and kind of the the physical force that maroons been
26:51the third line has been strong with Frederick down the
26:53middle and Heinen and Ben Reams Dyke. That line is
26:56four checked really well and the top six, you know, again,
26:59you want a little bit more out of them, you know, five
27:02on five production wise, but I don't have a huge issue
27:05with the lines right now. Same with on D. I thought
27:08lower. I was great in game four. I've noticed like I'm
27:12cool with it going into game five. Don't don't over coach
27:14and you know, we'll see what happens on Tuesday, but I
27:17assume you also would like Montgomery to keep it the way
27:20it is. Yeah, I think it's all about just staying the
27:23course, right? It's a great problem to have when you
27:26get to the next round and you determine. All right,
27:28do we go to swim and do we do all mark? Do we keep the
27:30rotation in place? All right, Brezza was a guy who is
27:33really impactful at five on five play in the regular
27:36season. Getting him to line up is a great problem to
27:39have right? Do we take out a guy like JVR who I think
27:41is really kind of reasserted himself the last couple
27:44of games up in Toronto. I think he had some really
27:46strong shifts out there for that one. So yeah, these
27:50are all questions. I think that are you have to answer
27:52but not right now. You got a clinching game in your
27:55own building on Tuesday night get past a team in
27:58Toronto. That's reeling that has the talent to jump
28:01right back in. We're all well aware of that, but we
28:04look at where they are. How kind of disjointed they
28:07look fact that luck is on your side right now with
28:10the fact that you miss Nylander for the first three
28:12games and now you have Matthews who was without a
28:15doubt the best player on the ice in game two and has
28:19not looked the same since then like you you've benefited
28:21from some major breaks in terms of just the evidence
28:26skill that Toronto has has been limited off of some
28:29factors outside of what you're doing. So take advantage
28:32of it. Put the best lineup out right now. Don't
28:34overthink things and try to put this team away and
28:37get back into the second round of the playoffs and
28:39then go from there. I think it's as simple as that.
28:42You know, I don't want to get into predictions of
28:45like is this series over to the Bruins finish it in
28:47five, but I think an interesting thing between the
28:51Maple Leafs and the Panthers last year was the
28:52Panthers and I don't know if we saw it at the time,
28:56you know, I I think we may have overlooked it and
28:59obviously at the end of the series. We realized it
29:02they had some guys who were built for the postseason
29:04could Chuck Bennett, you know guys that were just
29:08you know, bigger tougher brought a lot even guys
29:13like for Hagee like those guys just could be a little
29:16bit better games playoffs. Yes, Matthews Nylander
29:21Marner who we have, you know, haven't mentioned a
29:23ton. I I don't know the history history is not on
29:29their side with that. They're very good skill players.
29:31No one is doubting that Mitch Marner has outstanding
29:35vision and skill and Matthews is maybe the best
29:37goal scorer right now in the league and Nylander
29:40is a ton of skill. That's great. But do they have
29:43what it takes to win three in a row like my guess
29:47my prediction is no, I don't think the series is
29:50over by the way. I want to say that but like my
29:52gut my gut says the Bruins probably win game five.
29:56That's what I would predict. I'm not saying it's
29:58definitely going to happen, but that's what I would
30:00predict. I'm curious if you think any differently
30:03on that. Yeah. No, I mean again, I will keep on
30:08saying this is a very good Toronto Maple Leafs team
30:10until they get eliminated and whether that's in
30:11five six seven games, but I think you look away
30:14the Bruins are playing right now. They don't have
30:16to deviate from the script. They have to keep on
30:18doing what's working for them and it's I think
30:20Pat Maroon said it best on Monday's like playing
30:22simple boring hockey like the Bruins aren't yeah
30:25nearly and they're not nearly as flashy, but you
30:27look at especially in that game for we're not a
30:29lot was happening for extended stretches of the
30:31game. The Bruins love that against a team like
30:33Toronto that can make things happen in a hurry,
30:36you know winning, you know controlling the neutral
30:39zone forcing turnovers flipping the puck out and
30:41learning kind of to to fight another day instead
30:44of trying to force the buck and lead to turnovers
30:46of your own blocking shots. All these things that
30:49again aren't as flashy as you know, a great passing
30:53sequence or a goal off the rush. What have you
30:55but it's what you got to do with this team like
30:57this team Martian. I think even said it before
30:59the playoff started like when this team's at its
31:01best. It's all about playing simple hockey and
31:03then just taking advantage of your opportunities
31:05and that's what they've done. They've taken
31:07advantage of bad penalties from Toronto and
31:10they've capitalized on the power play. They've
31:12had bad turnovers from Toronto where it's like
31:15the the Reeves turnover that led to JVR's goal
31:18like they're not like controlling play at five
31:21on five, but they're landing their punches when
31:22they're there. That's what this team needs to do
31:25and I think if you keep up that defensive
31:27commitment, you keep up, you know, whether it's
31:29swayman or all mark whoever it is in net and
31:32then like you keep on capitalizing on the power
31:34play. You should be in a position to put this
31:36team away. I agree. I agree. This should not be
31:41I don't think this is going to be like last year.
31:42That would be my my guess. But again, it ain't
31:44over it ain't over and I don't think Bruins fans
31:47will feel comfortable and where they are until
31:51the final horn sounds on whatever game the Bruins
