The movie is based on TRUE STORY of the "Eight Immortals Restaurant murders" that took place on 4 August 1985 in the Hei Sha Wan section of Areia Preta, Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Portuguese Macau.
After severed limbs are discovered along a Macao beach, local detectives are sent on a search for the suspected killer. Their findings lead them to the Eight Immortals Restaurant and its new owner, Wong Chi Hang (黃秋生 Anthony Wong Chau-sang). With increased pressure and some unorthodox methods, they finally break Wong and get him to confess to the grisly murders of an entire family of eight, a female relative and the restaurant female cashier.
