00:00 what it was like today actually being here in Jacksonville and
00:04 understanding this is my new home.
00:06 >> Yeah, it's a great feeling just being able to experience this with my parents,
00:11 my family.
00:11 It's a great feeling just to know that I'll be here in Jacksonville not too long.
00:16 Just this is where I'll be staying.
00:18 Just amazing feeling.
00:20 >> Your relationship with your dad and sort of growing up,
00:24 I know he was focused a lot on basketball.
00:26 But just in terms of his athleticism, how it sort of dropped down to you and
00:31 then now you're sort of moving up into the NFL.
00:34 >> Well, my dad got a great relationship.
00:37 I wouldn't say he focused more on basketball or anything.
00:40 He really left it up to me, whatever I wanted to do, he would support me 100%.
00:47 So I mean, whatever I wanted to do, he'll be there for me.
00:51 He's gonna continue to do that for me.
00:53 >> And then what was it like flying in today on the private jet?
00:57 And how cool is that for an experience?
01:01 >> Night was pretty long, had a lot of interviews and stuff.
01:04 But once I got back to the hotel and got back to the room and
01:06 chilled out a little bit, I was able to go to sleep, get a couple hours of sleep.
01:11 Came in this morning on the private jet.
01:13 That was my first time experiencing being on a private jet.
01:16 It was amazing, so yeah.
01:17 [LAUGH] >> Is that the closest thing to teal you
01:20 had with you?
01:21 >> Yeah, yeah, yes sir.
01:25 >> JP Shadrick with Jaguars Radio for Brian and Coach.
01:29 So there's a lot of talk around here about football IQ and
01:32 the importance of being a smart out in the discussions with the Jaguars.
01:36 Brian, how much did that come up and what did you have to show to them?
01:39 And then coach, what stood out about that process?
01:43 Brian, go ahead.
01:43 >> It came up just like, well, taking the little test or whatever,
01:48 how they test you, try to see how you remember things, how you learn things.
01:51 So I would say it came up during that.
01:53 I would say my football IQ is one of the biggest things that helped me out
01:58 when I'm out there playing.
01:59 >> Coach?
02:01 >> Yeah, things we saw on tape and when you talk to coaches and
02:05 people close to Brian, the level of comfort there and understanding his offense,
02:10 understanding his role in that offense,
02:14 being able to run just about every route in the route tree.
02:18 And I said last night, there's gonna be some different routes that we're gonna ask
02:21 him to do and utilize his skill set that way.
02:24 And it's gonna take some time, it's gonna take some new learning,
02:26 obviously, with a new system.
02:28 But very confident, we've got a rookie mini camp coming up and
02:34 then the rest of the offseason program.
02:36 So we're gonna do everything we can to get him caught up to speed as fast as we can and
