Hemp targets trophies after agreeing new Man City deal

Head coach Gareth Taylor is excited for the future after Man City extended Lauren Hemp's contract until 2027.

00:08obviously for the next few years. I feel like you can't get rid of me, so no, but I'm really

00:13excited and I want to win trophies with this team and I know that we're capable of doing

00:18it and we've not yet won every trophy that I want to win yet and I'm so passionate about

00:23this club and there's no place I'd rather be.

00:25It's going to be amazing. It's really crucial for us to proceed and make those big steps

00:30forward that we want to. We've seen really good signs this season from the group and

00:35Lauren re-signing is really crucial to that. There's been a lot of work that's gone on

00:39behind the scenes with the team, behind the team, the likes of Niels, the likes of Charlotte

00:47really helping in that space in getting the correct deal for Lauren, which I think is

00:51fantastic.

00:52He's always there to make me feel a lot better within myself and he's also the first person

00:57to tell me if I'm doing anything wrong, but I think it's great to have that balance. It's

01:01good to have managers that truly believe in you.

01:04It shows that we're moving in the right direction, that she's really pleased to commit her prime

01:09years with us. Still a young player, still has so much to do, but really enjoyed the

01:14journey with her so far. She's an incredible talent, someone who's really coachable and

01:20I've seen such growth from her since I started working with her. I'm excited about what the

01:24future brings for her and for the team.
