00:34 After using a poisoned Jim Gordon to distract the Dark Knight,

00:38 the clown prince of crime launches an attack against a crucial tower in Gotham.

00:42 If Batman failed to stop Joker and his hired help from destroying the structure,

00:46 an entire world could be obliterated.

00:49 The fight seemed hopeless until Bruce got an assist from a few familiar faces.

00:58 It was immensely satisfying to see the members of the Bat Family

01:28 Although the heroes thought that the world-destroying antimatter waves were the biggest issue,

01:36 an even bigger threat emerged in Crisis on Infinite Earths Part II.

01:40 While at Monitor's base, Psycho Pirate is suddenly teleported to a dark space.

01:45 He quickly learns that this void is home to a sinister and powerful presence.

01:49 While the entity is initially nameless,

01:51 its hatred of the Monitor leads it to adopt a fitting name.

01:54 "Not like Monitor. Nothing like him. He opposes me."

02:00 "Obviously. You're nothing like him. You're the opposite of him. You're the Anti-Monitor."

02:07 The introduction of this new antagonist was chilling yet compelling.

02:11 Without even seeing his body,

02:13 his intimidating voice suggested that he had the might to take on the heroes.

02:17 We're excited to see the Anti-Monitor step out of the shadows

02:21 and confront the heroes.

02:22 "What if you had your own universe?"

02:24 "For the people who felt whatever you feel, you would be their king."

02:36 Only light could harm the vicious shadow demons that were invading every reality.

02:49 Since John Stewart was a Green Lantern, he was perfectly equipped to fight them off.

02:54 Unfortunately, not even his ring had enough power to hold off the shadowy army forever.

02:59 Just when it seemed like an entire world would be doomed,

03:02 John thought of a dangerous way to keep the demons at bay.

03:05 "They're afraid. Afraid of this light."

03:08 "Look here, I'm no expert, but I think you're overcharging."

03:11 The Green Lantern was fully willing to sacrifice his life to obliterate his enemies

03:17 with a flash of green light.

03:19 Although the plan works wonders, John's ring was destroyed in the process.

03:23 By nobly sacrificing his own superpowers,

03:26 the former Green Lantern was able to save countless lives.

03:30 "Left my power ring in there. Had to make sure it'd blow. It was worth it."

03:36 We were initially worried about Dr. Fate.

03:47 When he first appeared, his vessel was locked in a chair, non-responsive,

03:51 and at the mercy of the sadistic psycho pirate.

03:54 But shortly after the villain tried to use his powers on the magical hero,

03:58 Dr. Fate revealed who was really in control.

04:01 "Did you say something? Oh, it's you. Sorry, I was worlds away.

04:09 That won't work."

04:14 The sorcerer was able to break the antagonist's weapon without leaving his chair.

04:18 Dr. Fate followed that impressive display by suiting up and holding the villain down.

04:23 By the time Psycho Pirate was begging for mercy,

04:26 we were already rooting for the magical hero.

04:28 Although Dr. Fate let the villain walk out of the room,

04:31 neither the antagonist nor the audience will forget this awesome scene.

04:35 "God, God, open this door. Get me out of here now."

04:42 "Okay."

04:42 Just when it seemed like the heroes had their shadowy enemy on the ropes,

04:58 the dark entity stepped up its game.

05:01 After the demon focused on attacking one Earth,

05:03 it was able to shapeshift into a titanic version of itself.

05:07 The dark kaiju instantly proved it could get hit by Superman's lasers and keep going.

05:12 And when it got backed into a corner, it found a way to overcome its weakness to light.

05:17 "Keep it up."

05:25 "It's growing a shell."

05:26 Although the movie ends in the middle of its debut battle, we still liked what we saw.

05:31 The shadow kaiju is practically guaranteed to be the first obstacle

05:35 the protagonists will face in part three.

05:37 We are looking forward to the movie opening

05:40 with an epic battle against a seemingly unstoppable creature.

05:43 Number 5. Wonder Woman volunteers to fight.

05:52 When an Amazon-ruled world got overrun by shadow demons,

05:56 Diana put her life on the line to assist her sisters.

05:59 "Earth-46 is an Amazon-ruled Earth, but they are not your sisters.

06:04 And that is not your mother."

06:07 "Maybe not, but they're close enough."

06:09 Wonder Woman took on legions of enemies solo without giving an inch.

06:14 Although the Monitor and the other Amazons questioned her actions,

06:17 she refused to stop fighting to save the foreign world.

06:20 "I should have known. The light of truth shall scatter the darkness."

06:24 Wonder Woman's courage and perseverance were truly inspiring.

06:29 It also helped that her fight was brought to life with fluid animation.

06:33 Sadly, Wonder Woman wasn't able to dispatch every enemy

06:36 before an antimatter wave seemingly took her out, despite its downer ending.

06:41 Diana's plotline reminded us of how dedicated the heroine is to aiding her sisters.

06:45 "You have done well."

06:51 Number 4. The Monitor takes responsibility.

06:56 "This caring has cost me much.

07:02 Why must I suffer it?"

07:04 For centuries, the Monitor was largely indifferent to the suffering of others.

07:10 He watched entire civilizations of people get destroyed without changing his expression.

07:15 But after taking care of an orphaned Supergirl, he began to value life.

07:19 We see how far the Monitor has come in a devastating scene.

07:23 "All living things in all realities are about to die, and I killed them."

07:32 "A remarkable change."

07:33 Upon seeing how much his allies were struggling to defeat the Shadow Kaiju,

07:38 he began to regret that he didn't do more to help before this point.

07:42 The remorseful Monitor proceeded to let Kara punish him for his inaction.

07:46 "I see, of course."

07:47 "You've watched billions die!"

07:51 "Yes."

07:53 It's unknown whether he'll be able to recover from the gruesome injury Supergirl inflicted on him.

07:59 No matter what happens next, we know that the Monitor finally accepted

08:04 the responsibility that his enormous power granted him.

08:06 Number 3. The Bat Family breaks the Shadow Demons.

08:10 Like Wonder Woman, the Dark Knight was prepared to take on the Shadow Demons by himself.

08:15 Batman's solo mission turned into a terrific team effort once the rest of the Bat Family arrived.

08:20 "Let there be light!"

08:21 "And there was light, and it was good."

08:28 At first, the Dark Knight was too stubborn to accept that he needed help.

08:32 The Bat Family even ended up fighting amongst themselves after

08:35 Psycho Pirate played a few mind games.

08:37 "You asked for this!"

08:38 "This is no time!"

08:43 "Oh, big man!"

08:46 But when push came to shove,

08:48 every member of the Bat Family put their differences aside to save Bruce.

08:52 Seeing them all come together as a team after they nearly tore themselves apart

08:56 felt incredibly cathartic.

08:58 Hopefully, this version of the Bat Family will continue to stand together proudly

09:02 until the end of this crossover.

09:04 "They're retreating."

09:06 "I don't like the look of this."

09:09 Number 2. Superman escapes the wave.

09:14 "Can you confirm Earth-18?"

09:15 "It's on the very edge of my vision, but..."

09:17 "Yes, confirmed."

09:22 A veteran Man of Steel took it upon himself to spot incoming antimatter waves

09:26 before they could wipe out planets full of people.

09:28 While on a routine scouting mission,

09:30 the destructive wave suddenly started speeding towards Superman.

09:33 "The old Kryptonian vision ain't what it used to be."

09:36 "It still gets the job done, my love."

09:39 "Now please, fall back to Earth-18."

09:42 But the Man of Steel did not panic.

09:45 Not only did Superman outspeed the wave,

09:47 he stared up at it as if he was openly challenging it to hit him.

09:51 Watching the Man of Steel look into an abyss of annihilation without blinking

09:55 was amazing.

09:56 We hope this incredible Superman gets another chance to soar

09:59 into the spotlight and the story's conclusion.

11:08 We were overjoyed to see Constantine finally regain his identity again.

11:16 Additionally, it was fun to see him throw around spells and insult his allies again.

11:20 Constantine's triumphant return gave us hope that the heroes might survive the crisis.

11:25 "If you're some kind of magician, why don't you just magic up something to stop him?"

11:29 "Hello. I just remembered my name. My bag of tricks is not quite up to this."
