Arrowhead Report's Tucker Franklin and Mile High Huddle's Chad Jensen break down the second Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos matchup of the season.
Transcript
00:00 We've seen the Chiefs struggle on the defensive front and getting pressure and
00:03 getting any sort of pass rush whatsoever.
00:06 How do you think Drew Lock can kind of benefit from that, from the Chiefs
00:09 struggles in terms of what they're doing on the defensive line?
00:11 Well, look, they might've struggled recently, but any game in which you have
00:17 Chris Jones and Frank Clark, you know, a really potent inside, outside
00:22 kind of rushing combo, it's something that is going to affect the game.
00:26 Now, maybe they're, they haven't been able to get home as much as Chiefs
00:29 fans would like to see those two, in terms of sacking the quarterback.
00:32 But, you know, Drew Lock, it's kind of like a blood in the water, right?
00:36 With sharks, the true predators in the league, they can sense that wounded
00:39 animal and the frenzy comes and the Chiefs, typically that's kind of been
00:43 the energy with which they kind of attack the Broncos these last few years, you
00:48 know, even preceding Drew Lock.
00:50 And I think that's not going to change.
00:52 I think they're going to see a team limping into week 13, not only with
00:55 all the injury bug problems, but also this embarrassment of how the NFL
00:59 basically, you know, strong-armed them and embarrassed them and made them an
01:03 example and they're going to see blood in the water and they're going to attack.
01:06 I'd be willing to bet money that you're going to see a Chiefs pass rush.
01:09 That's going to be significantly more productive against this Broncos team
01:12 than they have been in, in, in recent weeks.
01:15 And it's not because the O-line isn't good.
01:17 It's just because good teams do that to bad teams.
