The Tampa Bay Rays beat the New York Mets 8-5 on Wednesday night and clinched the AL East title.This is the Ray's first division title since 2010 and only the third in their franchise history. It’s also the first time in 5 years that a team other than the Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees has won the AL East.Tampa Bay has gone 37-20 in the shortened season and are also on target to be the top seed in the American League. The Rays celebrated the win on the field with confetti on Wednesday night.
