Burnley Live will take place over the May Day Bank Holiday Weekend – Friday, May 3rd to Monday May 6th

00:10 This legendary live music Burnley event takes place from the 3rd of a Friday right through

00:16 to Monday the 6th of May. The festival opener on the Friday night at Penny Black's is the

00:20 fabulous Fleetwood Shack. Can't wait to see those guys.

00:24 Over the rest of the weekend we'll be bringing you some brilliant bands and over 20 different

00:28 venues are involved in making this the best Burnley Live yet.

00:35 The heart of this festival is it's free live music stage which is based right here on Ormrod

00:40 Street featuring local bands performing from midday right through to 9pm.

00:48 So pack your sunglasses and your brollies for that true festival experience.

00:55 What is unique about Town Centre events is that as well as live music you can experience

01:00 everything else the Town Centre has to offer. All our shops and cafes will be open all weekend

01:07 for you to pop in and enjoy. Many of them will be following the live music

01:13 theme in venues like this at Rhode Island Coffee with music and live performances.

01:20 And the festival food for a fiver offer here inside Burnley Market Hall.

01:25 While you're in town you might want to buy yourself a new outfit, book a holiday, get

01:33 yourself a haircut or pick up a few festival essentials.

01:42 This is a family friendly event and may the 4th be with you on Saturday as you and the

01:46 kids channel your inner sci-fi geek and battle with the Star Wars performers who will be

01:51 performing in Charter Walk along with a whole host of other free entertainment such as buskers,

01:57 artists and let's not forget our popular and award winning artisan market that will be

02:02 right here on St James Street. The whole Town Centre really is joining in
