Activists organise 'Freedom Flotilla' laden with food aid for Gaza

The so-called 'Freedom Flotilla Coalition' is expected to depart Turkey in the coming days in an attempt to reach the shores of Gaza and deliver aid.

00:11 have been loaded with around 5,500 tons of food and supplies, and they`re now waiting

00:17 for permission to leave from the Turkish authorities.

00:21 Gaza has seen a small increase in aid recently. After coming under pressure from the international

00:27 community, Israel has now opened more land routes into the enclave. According to Israeli

00:32 officials, 276 trucks with food and other aid entered Gaza on Thursday. Some countries

00:37 from the Middle East and Europe have also been organizing daily airdrops.

00:42 But international humanitarian and human rights bodies say only a ceasefire can stop the disastrous

00:47 humanitarian situation in Gaza. On Friday, the Hamas-run health authority reported that

00:52 the Palestinian death toll since October 7th has surpassed 34,000.
