00:01 - I think the only thing for me
00:03 is I want my kids to be happy
00:04 and I want them to do whatever it is
00:06 that their heart tells them to do.
00:07 - Jennifer Love Hewitt showing off her three little ones
00:10 for the first time.
00:12 The actress debuting her book cover on Instagram
00:14 featuring her and husband, Brian Hallisey's kiddos.
00:17 - I ordered my own book.
00:18 - Don't, it's fine.
00:19 - Inheriting Magic, My Journey Through Grief,
00:22 Joy, Celebration, and Making Everyday Magical.
00:25 The author alongside 10 year old Autumn,
00:27 eight year old Atticus, and two year old Aiden.
00:29 Jen telling fans what inspired the whimsical cover.
00:32 - Okay, and now that you've seen the cover, finally,
00:35 I can tell you the cool story about the incredible woman
00:39 who did this cover.
00:41 She seemed like a magical making mom
00:43 and we reached out and basically told her
00:47 what the book was about,
00:48 told her about my love for my mom and my kids.
00:50 We connected as moms.
00:52 - Jennifer and hubby Brian
00:53 prefer keeping their private life private
00:55 with this digitally crafted photo
00:56 being the first official image of their three kids.
00:59 - Eye opening, wonderful, amazing, crazy, all of it.
01:02 - This comes after Jen gushed over her and Bri's
01:04 happily ever after on the 'Gram last year.
01:07 Our beautiful kids and family,
01:08 it's my perfect dream because it's with you.
01:11 The touching tribute was for the couple's
01:12 10 year wedding anniversary.
01:14 Jen sharing with ET this special surprise
01:17 that quickly followed their nuptials.
01:18 - I got married right before we had our daughter.
01:22 She decided to come three weeks early.
01:25 So my honeymoon was in labor.
01:27 Also a wild ride.
01:31 Yeah.
01:32 - How did you keep the romance with biology
01:35 kinda kicking in there?
01:36 - We got married, just the two of us in our backyard
01:39 and then we went to Bed Bath & Beyond
01:41 'cause that's what married people do.
01:43 And I was craving enchiladas so we had enchiladas
01:46 and then four days later a baby popped out
01:48 and it was just great.
01:49 - Jen now welcoming another kind of baby to the world
01:51 calling her memoir a love letter
01:53 to her late mother Patricia who died in 2012.
01:56 She's also hoping inheriting magic
01:58 will inspire all the moms out there.
02:01 - What kind of mom does that?
02:02 - Of course Jen's been inspiring her 911 fans.
02:05 She used her real life on screen
02:07 when she was back on the set after Aiden's birth.
02:09 - I came here to get well and to go home to my family.
02:12 - I've definitely had postpartum depression.
02:15 Mine has shown itself in different ways
02:17 with all three pregnancies.
02:19 I would say I've had little versions of it here and there.
02:22 What made this part interesting
02:24 is having to go back to work with a four and a half month old
02:28 five month old baby.
02:29 I was still very much in my own sort of postpartum journey.
02:34 So having to play Maddie in the middle of hers
02:38 when I feel like kind of helped me in my own journeys
02:41 sort of pushed through it faster
02:44 and be able to have a place to put it
02:47 and to understand sort of all those things
02:50 that we go through as women.
